Am I the only one who forgot that the Olympics are coming up? I heard that there''s no real stand out Olympian from the US right now (no big names to keep an eye on), and I thought that was interesting.

If you watch the games, what''s your favorite event? I watch as much as I can when we''re home, but I especially love skiing, ski jumping, and figure skating.

Figure skating and gymnastics

My roommate is a huge Olympics buff, so we''re having an opening ceremony party

She actually did an internship with one of the Olympic education centers- doing Ad & PR stuff- so I got to hear a lot of cool stuff about the speed skating athletes and some of the boxers. So cool.

As for my favorite events, for winter I really enjoy the figure skating, snowboarding, and I recently watched the skeleton world cup, which was crazy. I also like to watch curling, it''s kind of funny

summer games we definitely try to watch pole vault, because my FI and I used to compete, but other than that I really like gymnastics and diving.

I love watching the Olympics and of course I root for the UK. However, I never follow sports so I have no clue what is going on half the time

My favourite event is the 100 metre sprint. I love watching their bottom lip bobbing up and down. If I were an athlete I would force my lips to stay still lol!

I have it on my schedule.. I can''t wait! I get completely into the Olympics and learn to love every sport while it''s on. I like the summer Olympics better but I still get into the winter Olympics. My faves for winter are figure skating, snowboarding, and any type of skiing! I think I''m just always so impressed by the athleticism of all of the participants!

I forgot all about them coming. . .we only live a few hours away from Vancouver. I cannot imagine what the border line time waits are going to be.

When I was a kid, I loved watching figure skating and also gymnastics. Now, I don't ever watch anything unless DH has the tv on.

One of the great things about living in a state that borders Canada was being able to watch the Olympics on CBC. The Canadian network usually has a lot more coverage, doesn''t save all the good stuff until late at night, and shows a wider range of sports. This year, however, CBC didn''t get the TV rights and Comcast doesn''t carry CTV, the private network that will be doing the broadcasts. So it''s a Canadian Winter Olympics and for the first time in years we don''t get to watch it on Canadian TV! We''re bummed.

YES! I''ve had them penciled in my calendar months ago! It''s hard to forget about it living here in Canada, every second ad for the past year has something to do with the Olympics, or something sponsoring the olympics! I LOVE the winter olympics, much much more than summer. I watch everything, but my favs are:
HOCKEY(!!!), ski jumping, snowboarding and bobsledding. I also love figure skating, but get much too nervous watching it.

I''m not a huge Summer Olympics fan but the Winter Olympics... I need to start making a lot of room on my DVR!

I will not miss a downhill skiing race... or a Super G. I practically learned to ski by watching the DH and Super G on TV. Love bobsledding and luge. Oh, and hockey... and ski jumping... maybe a little speed skating... ahhh... figure skating too.

Ok... about everything but biathlon. Guess I won''t be getting much sleep for a while.
