). You''ll probably want to try the every 2 days thing for at least CD 8 until CD 22 this month, since with a 31 day cycle it is possible you will O later.

Lisa: hang in there momma! I say get 2 bathing suits and mix and match a top and bottom, anything to get into that pool! I''m sending sticky vibes you way, but not tooooo much sticky vibes... no need to go out of your way wishing for quads or quints!

Hi everyone else! I''m just updating...I''m on my 3rd day of creamy CM. Typically, I''m a 28day cycle, with a textbook 14day LF, so if I hadn''t M/C, I''d be O''ing today. I think I''m having a "late ovulation" this month (if I''m even O''ing?!) because my hormy hormones went Whack. Anyhoo. I''m tracking my CM in anticipation for next cycle when we can give it another shot. no pun intended!

But we made it home somehow without killing anyone (aka my dad''s wife).

Can I join you gals? I feel like I am finally ready now.

Not sure if any of you have read about my story, but I got a BFP on 1/17/08, first cycle off the pill without activitely trying. Saw the baby on the ultrasound and saw heartbeat at 7 weeks, 6 days. NT scan at 11 weeks, 6 days, and baby had no heartbeat. I had to get a D & C on 3/17/08. Fast foward till now, I finally got my period on cycle day 105 after my D & C. My body still had HCG so it was not allowing me to ovulate, thus not being able to have a period. I am on CD 4 now and started temping yesterday. I had a tough time with my experience because I wanted to get my period so badly to give me closure and to be able to move on. Now that is is finally here, I''m more ready than ever. My HCG level was finally negative over 2 weeks ago, so that''s when I ovulated.

I am so scared for the next time around, but I know there''s nothing I can do to prevent it from happening. The doctors could not give me a reason for the missed miscarriage. I had no symptons of miscarrying, so it was pretty shocking and scary!

Mela Lu - Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. I am so sorry about your loss as well. Do you know what happened? Did you miscarry naturally? I don''t recall if you wrote exactly what happened to you. If you did, I must have forgotten. Sorry!

Yes, if you still have HCG in your body, your body still thinks you''re pregnant, so it won''t ovulate and give you a period. My doctor told me it''s very unusual for it to take as long as it did for me to get back to normal. She even gave me Provera to jump start my period, but I only had break through bleeding for a few minutes, and that was it. It wasn''t a real period.

It''s so nice to know that there are other people out there are are going through the same thing you are or similar experiences. Yes, I am looking forward to sharing this experience with you gals again! Yay for that!

radiant I am so sorry for your loss and the amount of time it has taken your body to finally give you closure. But a new chapter has started and I'm sure it will be a good one! I know it must be so hard not to worry, but there is no concrete reason to think it will happen again...My best friend had the exact same experience that you had and got preggers only 2 months after starting to TTC again. Her son is now 2 1/2. And I just found out that another friend of ours who is currently pregnant had a similar experience about 6 months ago. It is the sad reality for us women that it is just so common, especially with first pregnancies.

I'm sure this thread will help you keep distracted from worrying though! I don't think I have met a nicer bunch of ladies anywhere!

Warning, they are a little crazy around here... gotta watch out especially for that Mela, Lisa, and Amber... all the ladies are a little wackadoo but them three are the queens

) and became a lawyer and that is actually what he had *envisioned* i love my job, but there is part of me that gets so irked by the fact that he honestly thinks that he had something significant to do with my career choice...parents. they are yours for life

Welcome Radiant! Miscarriages are so common, as I''m sure you know - 50% if you count the first couple of weeks. 25% after AF was due. In fact, it''s estimated that most women will have one at some point in their lives. I''ve been bleeding (spotting) pretty much through my whole pregnancy so far, so I know what you mean about being nervous. All you can do is just repeat to yourself that this is also part of nature, and that nature will do what nature will do. As long as you look after yourself, don''t smoke, etc., there is really nothing more you can do to control it. The more calm you remain, the better. I find exercise helps. And distraction. I hardly thought about it while I was away on my trip!

My thoughts are with you! I''ll be rooting for you as you try again!

My Dad''s always had very rigid expectations for those around him, and felt "greviously injured" (his words) when my mom and brother didn''t live up to them. I''m not working towards a PhD anymore (my choice - I was miserable and could no longer see myself in academia long-term), but I have a challenging and enjoyable career and my performance reviews have been great so far. It''s frustrating that he can''t be happy for me. I know that they''re his issues and not mine, but it was really hard having to deal with him for 4 days. I''m used to splitting time between him, my mom, and my in-laws when I''m visiting, and not having that much 1-on-1 time with him. It was actually nice getting back to work today, and even nicer that hubby and I are having a long, quiet holiday weekend coming up. We were going to drive to Wisconsin to visit his family, but decided that we just couldn''t deal with extra stress of travelling after this past week.

I''m out for this cycle. Temp drop and pink CM, so AF should be here tomorrow. I cried after the BFN a couple of days ago (partially because of all of the stress of the past week), but I''m fine with it now. The weather should be nice enough by April that there''d be no reason to worry about the possibility of transfering to the hospital during a snow storm or something (during birth), which can''t always be said about March around here, and I''m looking forward to all of the baby-making next cycle. After all, I am the teenage boy in our relationship.

DH knows a lot about charting now, which is sweet. He asked to see my chart after work today, and then (without me saying anything about today''s temp or spotting) said that he was sorry.

Hi Ladies - just a quick check in as we are off to Italy and Croatia tomorrow!! Mela - I will let you know all about Croatia!!! Funny story - I was getting a mani/pedi today and sat next to a girl who is from Slovenia and who happens to be heading to Croatia tomorrow for vacation (her family has a summer home in Brac)! How ironic?? Where is your hubby from again? Mine is from Dubrovnik which is one of our stops.

So, my doctor called today and told me my progesterone level is completely normal 8.8 AND I had a 13 day luteal phase this past cycle (just got AF today). Looking forward to lots of TTCing without worrying anymore!

Blein - sorry about your rough week coupled with the arrival of AF. Humph. They both, well, all around suck. We're here for when you need to vent.

BB - my DH's family was originally from near Split, but have since moved up north, to Zagreb.(sp?). We were originally going to go this year, but we're putting it off till next summer. All of DH's family will be going - and we'll hopefully be toting around a lickle one by then!

So much Baby dust to you and DH while away! May them swimmers swim and find your lickle eggie!

Hey gals! Just wanted to share my first chart for month 1. I wonder whether I ovulated. During the time when FF says I may have my OPK test line did appear, though not as dark as the control line. I''m also on allergy meds, so my CM is a little sparse now (I heard they can dry it up). Should be off those in a few weeks though. I have a definite biphasic pattern too, hmmm.

Anyway, we have set a definite TTC start date of whatever cycle is closest to Sept 1st. I am taking classes next year, and this will mean that if we get pregnant right away I will be around 8 months during my final exams. Didn''t want to make it any closer than that.

Finally, should I just go ahead and sign up for a year of FF, or just 90 days and see what happens? How are the pregnancy features/boards? I like this board so much already, I''m just not sure if I''d use another site.

Hope everyone is doing well! Every time is see CM in my physics course I think "cervical mucus," even though it''s supposed to mean Center of Mass.

Hello all! I guess since everyone else is checking in, I will too.

I'm on CD 25 of the post-m/c cycle, waiting for my first "natural" AF. I haven't yet decided if DH and I will try this next cycle or wait one more, but if the latter, I'll be lurking here. I just got a brand new box of sticks for my fertility monitor and am so excited to use it again! It got me pregnant (well, it and DH

) both times I used it, so I'm hoping the third time's the (sticky) charm! I've got a couple more things I'm going to ask the doctor to test me for before we chalk it up to two cases of seriously bad luck, since the other tests have come back normal.

Anyway, good luck to all of you! Hope to be participating actively soon.

Peony yup sister you definitely O''d, no question! I bet in a few more months you CF will increase and things will get better as your body gets off the hormones. Good news is that you LP looks great! So just wait a few months and things will be rarin'' to go!

I agree with this highlighted part for sure! I am also jealous of my friend who had a happy accident and never had to even think about TTC at al! LOL

I think the odds of conception in any given cycle are about 20%, but in can increase to as much as 40% if you can manage to BD in the two days immediately before ovulation, which is why I really like temping and monitoring CF! Let''s you catch that egg!

I think that 42 days is on the long end for cycles, and if you are kind of irregular too, then the complicated thing is trying to estimate when you will ovulate! You are probably safe if you BD every two days for the whole time

but that seems like a lot of work! LOL! Compared to that marathon, I kind of think that temping is a lot less work

...

So let''s assume you are using a basal thermometer, taking your temp at the same time each morning, and placing the thermometer way back into the heat pocket under your tongue (not doing any of those things can mess up your temps), then variation in your temps from day to say is totally normal. What you are really looking for is a pattern where your temps *tend* to be lower pre-O and then ''tend'' to be higher post-O. If you aren''t using a program like www.fertilityfriend.com it is free and makes charting a lot easier.

If you don''t mind me asking, before you were on the pill were your cycles shorter and more regular? You mentioned that on average you post-pill cycles are 43 days, how many cycles has that been and what was the range? I ask because depending on your answers I have some other suggestions/information I can pass on about this ''womanly business'', if you are interested... feel totally free to ignore my prying if you want, I will not be offended!

I just loved learning about all this stuff during my TTC journey and enjoy talking about it...

I would say that I wasn''t regular/regular prior to the pill, but I didn''t have as long of cycles as I do now. I have kept a log since I came off the pill in January. First cycle was 37 days, second was 47, third was 40, then 45 this last time. As of today, I''m on day 16.

I guess that would mean that I''m in my fifth cycle now.

Pre-pill, I would say I was still a longer cycle than average, but not a 47 day person. Good grief, that''s a long cycle. I agveraged in the mid 30s, I would say.

Sorry to hear about your hair loss and period coming back already. After I had my D & C, I was losing a lot of hair, more than usual. My doctor told me it was normal considering what my body was going through at the time. I was so looking forward to getting my period (normally I would not have) and it took 3.5 months for me to get it. It looks like your body is ready to be back to normal even faster than mine and you had a baby! Are you still breastfeeding her?

Peonygirl - I just signed up for FF for a full year. I figured what the heck! I have lurked on their boards and they seem pretty good so far. I think there is more activity on here though. How exciting...only 2 more months until you guys are actively TTC!

Ebree - I''m so sorry to hear about your 2nd loss! I can''t even imagine what you were going through. Hopefully you will get your first AF after your m/c in no time. Not sure if you mentioned it or not, but did you have a natural m/c or had to have a D & C like me? That''s good that all the tests so far came back normal. I was reading this book called Avoiding Miscarriage: Everything You Need to Know To Feel More Confident in Pregnancy by Susan Rousselot. It''s a really good book and really breaks down the 4 main reason for miscarriages. The author went through 6 miscarriages herself, so it was nice to know that she has actually been through it all. It really helped me understand more about why miscarriages happen, etc. Good luck and hopefully you will be back on board before you know it!

Sometimes I worry about my parents and what they''d think if I dropped out of my program, but they''ve always been so supportive (for Korean parents, no less!), that it makes me so angry to hear about parents who are less than understanding.

I''m glad you thinking positive about the BFN. Who wants to have a baby during the winter anyway?

A small part of me is still annoyed that I''m not going to have a ''convenient'' May baby. Anyway, just think, you won''t have to inch your way down an icy sidewalk 8 months pregnant like me!

Ack, this board is moving so quickly, and I have the sneaking suspicion that I''m going to have to start lurking more than posting. I''m having a grumpy day. We were supposed to be on our way to Lake Tahoe already, but DH had to go in to work, and doesn''t know when he will be able to leave now! AND... He has been crazy stressed at work, which means he''s not been totally "in the mood" for the last few days. Normally this wouldn''t be that big of a deal, but of course the last few days have been our window. He is a trooper, and did step up as much as he could, but it was so much more of a calculated effort than the happy, excited to make a baby time that we were thinking it would be. I couldn''t sleep last night because I was so frustrated? sad? that we didn''t do everything we could this cycle (not mad at DH though) and what we were able to "knock out" was so not us!
Anyhow, just needed to vent for a minute.

Some days I''m so grateful for it, other times (like now) I just feel like number and not important. le sigh. So, what does any frustrated gal do...POAS!



It''s been 15 Days past my natural m/c. According to my CM, I''m not O''ing yet. Who knows. I just want AF to come so I can re-set the clock!

Happy I'm sorry you are frustrated! I can understand your disappointment that the heavens didn't open and the angels didn't sing when you were "knocking it out"... that seems to be how it is conveyed on the television sometimes and I know I also fantasized about staring meaningfulling into DHs eyes and feeling the love too, when we were "making a baby". But the reality is that it just isn't always like that, we were tired and uninterested and laughing at the silliness of it all most of the time, to be honest. I know some people actually like to BD 10 days in a row and no matter whether they are tired or not, but I sure am not one

! Go easy on yourself and your hubby, it will all work out!

I spoke too soon. Just got a call from my MD. My HCG level (last tuesday, June 24th) was 58. So, in two weeks, my HCG level dropped approx 1500 points. This means that I should be approaching zero soon....right?

Also, I just discovered that Dollar Stores in Canada don''t sell Preg tests. Only $$$ ones in drugstores.

My dollar store sells preggo tests! Did you ask them? I found them in the section with the bandages etc.
