The NEW Bond...James Bond

Since we all know the current Mr. bond will no longer be playing our beloved elegant Brit spy, so who will fill his shoes?




Remember all suggestions should be:


1) able to don an acceptable British accent


2) smooth, debonnaie, and sexy


3) must be able to "get the girl" every time...


4) brunettes seem to be the trend, but I suppose not the rule...


5) young enough to act in more than 3 bond films within 5-6 years of so.

Hmmm. . .I don't know if he exactly fits the character, but my vote is for Russell Crowe simply because it never hurts to see him up on the big screen

Jude Law is way too femme to be James Bonde. Actually, you know who would be perfect? Ewan McGregor!

Ewen, isn't "debonaire enough" or "handsome enough"...they actually had a poll in an Entertainment Magazine (can't remember which Entertainment Weekly or Rolling Stone...), but the article said that he was not considered for those reasons.




Oddly LG, Jude Law was also a top contender (but he would have to "darken his hair"), as was Affleck considered, but he got nixed as "not having enough British charm...." Hee hee...




These are great! Russel Crowe also may need to slim down for this role...he's a bit too built to be Bond...BUT he made a FANTASTIC Gladiator!

Good responses though!!! Now I am torn!!!

Ben Stiller. The Bond films have been a joke since Connery bowed out and Brocklie took over exclusive production. What the heck Woody Allen did Casino Royal and he was 10 times better than Roger Boore. Regurardless I like the avitar, from Dr. No, yes?

Mara: Totally agree Mr. Brosnan is QUITE the 007...I liked Connery, but Roger Moore had his charm too...Although on acting, I prefer Connery. Come on...after seeing so many Bond films, they are ALL cheesy and silly. Even Sean Connery had to get silly to have to don on a "jet pack" to go from the roof of a building to his car...(Thunderball)...JET PACK...REALLY?!




I say Rowan Atkinson as ...007.... hee hee....He did Johnny English, why not!!
