Anyone else feeling e-day stress?
Perhaps something soothing would be welcome.

In college chorus a lifetime ago we sang this version of Ubi Caritas.
It's a little ditty from the late 8th century.
Maybe take a deep breath and close your eyes.

Another arrangement ...
One man, with magic pipes and super-human pitch accuracy, sings all the parts.

Matthew Curtis is a wonder.
I've always really loved this folk song- this version in someone's living room is amazing.
These are the lyrics:
Let us say a few words about your beauty. I’m going to leave my mother and father and be yours, only yours. Everyone is satisfied, but you are not happy.

Thanks Kenny, here is mine:

I was saying yesterday that Aretha Franklin may have the most perfect voice of all time, any time I stop and really listen to her my eyes tear up because it's just so beautiful. ❤️

This moves me every time I listen to it ❤️

Hi skygems. The video is unavailable. At least on my end.
I agree. Aretha Franklin’s voice is a marvel.

Oh just what I needed,thanks for sharing=)2

@kenny thank you for such wonderful music to wake up to this morning!

How beautiful!

Here's my favorite piece of music - the Lord's Prayer in Swahili. This music was composed by Christopher Tin for the video game Civilizations 4, and won the grammy that year for that category. If I were ever to marry again, I'd walk down the aisle to the Immigrant Song -Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Karen O version, and I'd walk out of the church to this - Baba Yetu. Tim is a big Civ 4 player and has also contributed to modifications to the program for the game. So it's a fixture in this household.

These are all moving, soothing, inspiring songs. Thanks for sharing!!

@mrs-b thanks for sharing Baba Yetu. There's so many great soundtracks from games and movies I love.

Here's something that's peaceful and calming to me, and utterly unique as a cross-cultural collaboration.

I’ve thought of too many to post. But here are some pop music tunes that come to mind today:
