Work-work (as in my real job

Work has been keeping me crazy busy, but I miss you all!

Ohhhh ladies, I am such a neurotic mess! I just had the biggest scare --

I spoke to DH this afternoon at about 3, and then I didn''t hear from him at all after that. So I called him at just before 7 (which is when he usually leaves the office to come home) for an ETA. He didn''t answer.

So then I spent the next TWO HOURS calling and calling (and calling!) and BBMing and he didn''t answer his phone! He doesn''t just not pick up his phone like that, especially if I call him a bunch of times in a row. For a little while I thought he might be on the subway on the way home, with no service - but that''s only a 40 min trip. All these terrible thoughts started racing through my head that maybe he was sick or injured or something (when I was on my way home today I did see someone held up at knifepoint, so I was already a little shaken).
DH never, ever stays out of touch that long, and he''s ALWAYS good about telling me what time he''s planning to come home. I was in FULL panic mode; felt sick to my stomach, my heart was pounding, and I did not know what to do.

I called his best friend, who tried to reach him and couldn''t. I called my good (great!) friend who tried to talk me through more rational scenarios that could have happened than the horrible scenes I had playing in my head.
I swear, I was 5 minutes away from calling his parents (I don''t know what they would have done, but for some reason I thought talking to his mom would help?) and/or the police.


And then he called me. And told me he''d walked into his boss''s office and had gotten stuck in a four hour long meeting. And he apologized profusely. I was just so happy that nothing happened to him!


I need to get a grip!

Migraine is better! Still a dull throb, but no where near what it was.
