I don't know if I'm understanding this but this BBC video seems to say that the Lesotho I diamond failed to sell recently.

This is an auction entry for the Lesotho I that I found (this is a good description and history of the Lesotho I).
Edit, sorry the date of the video seems to be: Thursday, 20 November 2008, so this appears to be the auction page explaining that it failed to sell.

They said it was the bad economy. Maybe the reserve was too high. I don't know-- it's above my paygrade.
