Thanks for the update misskitty, almost everyone moved up a spot or two! So exciting.

SO and I were talking about finances today and starting investments and retirement accounts and such and he made a comment about paying for "the ring" and I nearly dropped dead of excitement. He NEVER brings it up so this was a big step. I tried to feign calmness and hide my excitement and pretended to be surprised and he said he''d been thinking about it lately

Hopefully we can do some browsing this summer/early fall and be engaged by the end of the year. So close, yet so far haha. Just wanted to share my excitement, not worth it''s own thread though so I thought I''d just post here.

Hi Everyone! I'm just joining this site. Actually, my bf introduced me to the website when he started his E-ring search! I'm really excited to get engaged - I think it will happen end of July, beginning of August. It actually helped me a lot reading these forums because I thought I was the only one who picked out my ring and had control over the process (I was starting to feel like it wasn't really romantic). But now I see so many of you are involved in the process and I feel better about it. Just because it won't be a huge surprise, doesn't mean that it won't be amazing! I am very excited I think we are going to take a trip to Las Vegas (I've never been there!) and then the proposal will be up to him

Anyhow, my bf and I have been together for about 3 years and we met in college. It is corny, but I feel like I have loved him for my whole life, even before I met him. I feel that everything that I have done in my life was leading to us meeting. We were truly meant for one another. I am so lucky to love and be loved by such an amazing person.

I am getting a custom 3-stone ring (3 emerald cut diamonds) from James Allen. The center stone: 1.57 ct, D color, VS1 (completely eye clean), Ideal cut emerald. I don't know the stats on the side stones but they are also emerald cut, about .5 ct each (so the ring will be between 2.57-2.6 ct altogether!!!). I'm completely thrilled and this is my dream ring.
