This weekend when I woke up and turned the tv on to see the news they had this infomercial on about the Instyler. I watched the whole thing as my hair is the bane of my existence. It has a mind of its own. It can be curly or wavy with some areas straightish at times and tends to be on the frizzy side. Ughhh.

Anyway, this styler looked amazing but as we know nothing is as it seems. I read all the reviews online and it seems to have mixed reviews. Except for the deceptive advertising price which everyone pretty much agreed was underhanded. In any case, I always like to get as much of the full picture as possible and was wondering if any of the PS women have tried this product?
And what you thought of it if you have.
Thanks!

Here are some of the reviews on it fyi

Here''s the problem with the Instyler, lol.

If you have fine hair or hair that is somewhat manageable but just needs a little assistance, then it works ok. My mom has great hair but she likes to keep it straightened. She has the instyler and uses it after she has done rollers. She cannot use it on wet hair because she''s not a hair stylist so it ends up looking burned and it frizzes up right away.

I canNOT use this product on my curly hair. If I used it while it was wet, it would fry my hair. And it''s not powerful enough to make/keep it straight even after rollers.

It''s one of those things that again, if your hair is manageable to begin with you can figure it out. But if not, you can end up doing more damage or just not have it look good. Those girls end up looking great because they have hair stylists that are doing it for them, KWIM?

Anyway, that''s my review.

Thanks Fiery!
So, basically if your hair isn't hard to manage with other styling tools this should work but just like everything else LOL if you really need help it isn't any.

Thanks for your review. I think I should save my money. Darn, I was really hoping for some miracle product here

Oh well, guess I just have to win the lottery and then move my hairdresser next door to us to be my own personal hairdresser as I keep telling him I am planning to do as soon as I win

In the meantime I guess it's ponytails for me

That''s how I feel about it. My hair is extreme though. I need to do a very light relaxer every 3 to 4 months in order for me to keep it straight and not have it frizz. Things like this burns my hair when wet. I usually do rollers to dry my hair, then blow dry to get it completely straight since I don''t like to blow dry with wet hair. And if I''m going somewhere (like a wedding), I''ll ask them to iron it as well but I absolutely hate ironing my hair.
