According to the Holloway Cut Adviser site, the tool “should be used for rejecting known bad performing diamonds to narrow down your final selection.” After stopping by Tiffany & Co to look at a couple of round brilliant diamonds, I was surprised to find that the stones I looked didn’t return an HCA score.
Instead, for all 3 stones, the tool responded by saying that “The total depth % you entered suggests the girdle is dangerously thin, or the data you entered is incorrect.” Now, I thought Tiffany’s was a brand to trust for their quality of diamonds. Am I missing something here? Can some of the experts on this forum please help?
