I don''t usually watch this show, but I''m watching an episode now and Spencer is really weird and crazy.

Kristen and Brody and Audrina and Spencer''s sister are all in a club, and Spencer walks in alone and looks like he''s going to cry. Then, he and Brody fight, and Spencer says something along the lines of "you don''t know how dangerous I am, I had to hold myself in from bashing his head in." Does anyone watch that could give me a little recap, or insight?

Spencer (really, Speidi = Spencer+Heidi) is someone you need to watch from the beginning. I can''t tell (even as a long time watcher--back to Laguna Beach days) if Spencer has really gone off the deep end or if they are doing this for more publicity. This season Spencer has "unplugged" Heidi from "the Matrix" and she''s not allowed on the internet, etc. He has cut himself off from his sister and Heidi''s family, and is suddenly into "crystals" (Apparently morganite will protect you in a war zone, FYI).

I tend to think that Spencer is about as crazy as a person gets (sociopath) and Heidi is being abused (and has been from the beginning) but it does make for great entertainment.

About to watch a new episode tonight.... What I can say, Spencer is crazy and violent. He's gotten to the point where he's broken from reality. His veins pop out of his neck when he talks, such rage and anger...

He's out of control, total crazy town...

MTV should really be held accountable for seeing such stuff and doing nothing to stop it. ( They see it as it's great for ratings...) But that's so wrong..

Heidi?? She's brainwashed.

You look at her?? There is no emotion behind her eyes.. It's really sad.

anyone else think Spiedi''s craziness is an act? Just feels too scripted. I think they are hoping for press and a spin-off.

I think Speidi is an act too in terms of acting crazy etc. But I do believe that Spencer has pushed his and her families away. You can tell that Heidi''s mom is really sad by the situation.

I''ve always thought that.

They''re both complete wingnuts

And Freke, that was a very lovely recap! Except that it make me just want to know more about them; I''m off to Google the Matrix and moganite. Eek, they are both really frightening now.

I tried to do a search for "Spencer Pratt morganite" and "Spencer Pratt moron" came up as a suggested result. Hilarious.

I''ve watched since Laguna Beach. I think what has happened to Heidi is really really sad. I hurt for her at times. I think her sister put it well in saying "I feel like she''s gone forever". I think Spencer is an absolute lunatic with some serious anger issues. I don''t think it''s an act anymore... you can''t act out veins popping, or calling someone''s mother a va-jay jay. I think it''s sad that Heidi allows that.

I think some of the other girls are sad as well... Stephanie especially... and I worry of what is going on with Kristen.

I think the show puts a lot of pressure on them and yes MTV SHOULD be held accountable....especially in Heidi''s case.

I''m glad that Lauren has remained true to herself over time.

I can''t believe that I watch this semi-reality show but anyway...Spencer got kick off the set for threatening to kill one of the female producers. Now he''s on a 6 week "break" to attend anger management classes. But who knows if it''s all just for publicity. I bet they are hoping for a trip to "Dancing with the Stars"!

Totally agree, Freke. I think originally it was an act and they were just in it for the publicity. At this point, I just can''t believe that it''s an act anymore, especially with the way their families are reacting to it. So so sad. Spencer is psychotic and I think Heidi feels trapped by the situation.

In one of the previews at the beginning of the season, Heidi makes a comment about how she never thought she''d be getting divorced, so I''m curious to see where this season goes.

This freaks me out: http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=9600569

I think Spencer is diagnosable at this point with sever different disorders and in general is an abusive manipulator. I think Heidi knows she''s in a bad place but doesn''t know how to get out of it, personally and professionally. You can see that clearly when she''s on the show and I empathize because I''ve been there. When you''re with someone who is THAT nuts, getting out isn''t an easy task. It takes coordination and advance planning and given how tied she is to him through contracts, etc, I imagine she''s stuck right now.

Well if they were getting divorced, that would be all over the news, since the show was taped months ago. I think that was just a clip taken out of context.

They''re both crazy, and I really believe it''s all about the publicity. Her album sold 600 copies, which I think is the least any album has ever sold, yet she thinks she''s the greatest singer on Earth. Idiots.

Yeah, I thought of that too. I think they could be planning a divorce, but keeping it totally quiet (ie not seeing lawyers or anything) until the season ends. Or even if they don''t go through with it, it seems like Heidi is considering it. The way she says it in the clip doesn''t seem like it could be taken that much out of context.

Heidi was so vacant looking. Her words weren''t even coming out in complete sentences; she just stopped in the middle of a conversation and said something like, "You don''t know me. Spencer didn''t change me, I changed me. I just don''t have time or energy.."

I went back and watched some of the first three seasons. It''s sad to see such differences in her. She was so lively in her first two seasons.

This is what I was talking about: “Here’s the thing, you don’t know me. Spencer didn’t change me, I changed myself. I don’t have time, I don’t have energy, that’s why I’ve cut you off..” Here''s the link to a recap link.

It''s recently been reported that she and Spencer have been holed up in their house for 3 months. They''ve only left a few times, and apparently she basically does nothing but clean up his messes. Whether this is true or not I don''t know... but ugh. I want to like plan a national intervention to save the girl... and I don''t even know her.

Has to be the most apt surname ever right? - Pratt!
