Here is the link to what has previously happened to me while choosing a dress. I went back to bridal shop today with my boss and we tried my original dress on, and two more. After seeing the dress on me, my boss loved the one I had originally picked even more. That was music to my ears! So here is a line up of all the dress.

Dress number 1
The first dress I wanted until my mom ruined it (And I still love it!)

This is dress number 2. (The one I thought I would fall for)

Dress number 3 (I know, very similar to dress 1)

Izzy... I think #1 fits MUCH better on you, like it was made for your great figure and your posture just looks better. I don''t think anyone should force you into a dress you don''t love, and honestly, I think is not as flattering as #1. I am not sure why I don''t like #2 but the lines are to sharp and jagged whereas #1 is flowing and just fits. I can only imagine how stressed you are about this at this point (hugs) but I would say go with #1. You did use the words "love" to describe it in the original post and if you still feel that way- go for it!

I loved dresses 1 and 3, and my boss agreed. I would probably end up going for dress 3, but it costs $400 more than dress 1, and I love them almost equally. I am going to sleep on it and make a decision tomorrow. So what do you think ladies?

I guess my mom and her friends are just more traditional than I am.

I''m not in love with the style of the fitted top to the lose bottom. In all three dresses the way the bottom comes out seems weird to me but that may be my own personal style. Is that the style that you really prefer?

I think that of the 3, I like #2 better BUT #1 looks way better on you. It shows off that awesome figure you have.

Dress #1. No question. It''s wow, va-va voom on you. Others don''t do as much for your figure. Number one is elegant, unique and sensual (but not too sexy).

I think your mom may change her mind if she sees YOU in the dress.

Good luck!

#1! It just fits in all the right places. Looks great!

I started first my post before I saw #3 but I still vote for #1.

Izzy, go with your heart and buy the dress you love (#1). YOU will be wearing it, not your mom. She definitely can voice her opinion and all, but YOU have to love the dress or it will bother you during the entire wedding and every time you look at the photos.

I know it''s nice to have your mom''s approval, but her opinion is just HER opinion, and not necessarily the way everyone else will see you.

Yes, the mermaid/trumpet silhouettes were the only dress I liked. A-lines really looked boxy on my, I think because I have a short torso.

First one. Hands down.

1 and 3 are both great choices to have! You look phenomenal in both. 2 is not quite right on you with those diagonal pleaty things on the torso. #1 definitely has an edge in terms of flattering your figure just a kick more while #3 is a little more traditional in color and detail-work, at least from the snaps posted. Go with your gut here!

I love dress #1 on you!

Number 1 just looks like it was made just for you. I know it must be upsetting that your mother doesn''t agree, but in the end, its YOUR day and you need to wear what makes you feel like a princess!

Good Luck!

#1 all the way!

Number one is definitely my choice as well. Congrats!

I love the mermaid/trumpet shape on you, I''m just not wild about how the shaped part ends before the trumpet skirt stops. I just seems so contrived on dress #1 and #3. In THIS THREAD you can see that they all transition naturally without the weird line. Maybe it''s just that the samples aren''t fitted to you, but both of those dresses miss the mark for me.

How about something like this?

Sorry I missed your other threads, but I

dress one. The first one elongates your waist and compliments your chest. The other two do not compliment your body shape because the top is different. The first one looks the best. Don''t let your Mom ruin it..go with the dress YOU want unless you are actually having second thoughts on it aside from what your Mom says.

I still love Dress 1. It looks amazing on you! Out of these, it is the winner, hands down. You love it, it looks great, and it is less expensive. I would go for it. I think your mom''s (and her catty friends'') opinion of the dress on the model is such an insignificant factor here. Please please just order the dress you love!

Dress #3 is lovely but I have to agree with most everyone else that dress #1 just looks fantastic on you!

i also like dress # 1 on you...but i''m posting while buzzzzed like a bee, so maybe i''m worth ignoring, haha. for the record, plop a veil on your head and le mommy will probably change her tune. moms are funny like that. if you love it, GET IT GET IT GET IT! btw, my sympathy is limited for someone with a figure like yours--if you can look good wearing ANYTHING, i''m bitter toward you.

seriously, it looks great on you, and i''ll go be jealous elsewhere, haha!

Thanks guys! I expected there would be people who did not like my wedding gown no matter what I chose. I just hope that there will be others who shared my love for my dress.

I am probably going to order dress number 1 in ivory. The sample I am wearing is gold, whereas dresses 2 and 3 are ivory.

Perfectpear: I love the dress you posted. It is beautiful, but appears a little "ruffley" at the bottom. While I love ruffles, my fiance can't stand them. I can definitely see that some people (including my mom) do not like the sharp contrast between the bodice and the skirt but every dress I am drawn to seems to have that detail. To each their own I guess. I know I have seem some dresses that I did not care for at all, but the bride and many others loved it.

Doodle: You are too funny! Or is it just the alcohol talking?

hey I love 1.. i think it''ll look way better in ivory.. i was thinking that color was a little strange lol.. what bridal salon did u go to here??

Blondebunny: I found these dresses at "Modern Bridal" on E. Colonial, just West of the Fashion Square mall. They had the best selection of all the shops I visited. Lilly''s Bridal was across the street, and while the selection wasn''t as large, they did have a lot of Maggie Sottero dresses. Good luck!

Honestly, I think number 1 looks divine on you and emphasises your fabulous figure. You look like a model in #1, it''s like that dress was made for you. If you love it, then go for it girl, you look stunning!

#1! #1! #1! #1! (Picture me jumping up and down like a little kid at Christmas as I say this!)

It is absolutely perfect on you.

There is something wierd about the chevron shaped pleats on #2.

I would probably love #3 on you if I hadn't seen you in #1!

I think it is a no brainer.

#1 all the way. I hate to break it to your Mama, but she doesn''t have this one right.

One fits you like a glove. I thought I would like #2 on you, but nope, not nearly as much as the first one. And #3, eh, it''s just not as "WOW" as the first one.

You really do look lovely in all of them, but there''s something special about the first one. Moms can''t *always* be right, ya know?

It''s so hard to go against the opinions of those you love, but I say go with your initial feelings--LOVE!

--for this dress and don''t let anyone second-guess you. Plus, if you need support just come back here to see how much we all agree and love it on you! Or send your mom this thread, haha!

I like 1, 3. 1 does much more for your boobs, I think. 3 could be as good with alterations, but 1 isn''t bad.

I agree, I don''t like the flow on all 3, I think there are better examples of memaids, but maybe you don''t like that kind.
