I did read that piece too, ksinger, and I thought it was way better than this speech though. I don''t know...I found it interesting but at the same time the end left me hanging. Also, the way he set it up in the beginning, about liberals being more open-minded....I kept waiting for him to oppose that mindset (or as he called it, a stereotype)...but he never did.
I agree that he made the liberal side sound more "appealing", but I wasn''t sure if that was my liberal bias, or him pandeing to what he knew would be a liberal audience. He seemed to imply that there was a genetic predisposition towards liberal/conservativeness, but didn''t explain why people tend to get more conservative over time, or if environmental factors are about to change one''s orientation.
Then again, I watched it at like 3am, so that could have something to do with it. I''ll watch it again later.
