A fancy white with my in-laws! They’ve been our only social companions for weeks.

Must be yummy. I know nothing about whites, so I might have to look this up......

Greg is on his call with the urologist but when he is done I will be serving him something yummy in this. I love these glasses. We generally serve martinis in them.

Happy Monday kids! Today we are joined by the taxidermied squirrels that hang on the wall in the dining room because... uhhhhh... who am I kidding? There is no rational way to end that sentence...

But back to the matter at hand! Prosecco out of stemware made by Cambridge Glass in Ohio. This pattern was made from 1937-1953 and the color is moonlight blue. You can’t really tell, but the top part of the glass has a cool positive parabola ripple pattern.

LOL. My Biology class project was a squirrel taxidermy, thank goodness the school provided the specimen. It is hard to do.

My 1st shipment from the wine subscription I signed up arrived today. So obviously I've been drinking earlier today, but had to another glass in bed when I found out the past president of my company died from Covid-19. It was years ago when I first started working there and I was so low down in the totem pole so I only knew him from a distance, but the news hit me hard like someone I personally knew died. So toast to him and this virus really sucks...

Happy Tuesday kids! Today I present to you a glass I know nothing about... I bought it for a quarter at a yard sale in Michigan and smoothed a big chip out of the lip with a nail file. My best guess based on the thickness of the glass and the wheel etching style is that it’s 1950s era.

Cheers!

ETA: I don't normally fill my glasses to the rim, LOL, but I was trying to get a good picture of the pattern. (At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

HI:

@Indylady SO nice to see you too! Welcome back! Tell me about this bottle you shared with your family.

True dat...I know my way around reds! LOL I love champagne and the last white I had was Fevre (Chablis) and it was dreamy. My DH doesn't care much for white but I adore the chill and crispness. It leaves him with a headache.....(imagine back of hand over brow :)) )

Thank you for your support to your (healthcare) BF in Florida. Stay calm and handwash on!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

In my dream world I am laying on a beach right now with the cool Ocean breeze caressing my face and the sweet smell of the salty air in my nostrils. And I am sipping a pretty cocktail as the ocean touches my toes. Ahhhhh.

Happy Wednesday kids!

We are currently enjoying some apple cherry cider from Crane’s Orchard in Fennville, Michigan. The vessel is technically a compote dish. Pffft. Whatever! I think of it as Dee’s Really Big Cider Glass at this moment!

Whole wheat biscuit cinnamon rolls and a foamy latte.

I started out making Dalgona coffee, but my hand whipping just wasn't enough to make the coffee foamy. So I freestyled, topping my liquidy coffee and sugar mix with Bailey, heavy cream, milk, and what else, whipped cream.

Heheheh, your reply had me cracking up! The red was great, a Tempranillo blend and very drinkable. You have me curious about the Fevre! We need a trip to the wine store ASAP. Aw shucks! She’s one of my best friends, so it just is insane for me to think of her in such a risky position, day after day! Hand washing on!

@Dee*Jay, do you know anything about this glass? I found 7 of them over 40 yrs ago in a house my aunt inherited. They were hidden under a wood plank in the attic which was formerly owned by 2 eccentric (very very eccentric) sisters. Their silver was hidden under the floor too. None of it was valuable....they were just....very very eccentric.

I filled my glass to the rim (with Brut Rosé) to show the “no pattern” in my glass :twisted2:
@Dee*Jay your glass collection is lovely. I am now missing my crystal and antique store finds. I did not use them in fear they would get broken and I would not be able to replace them. Now I have plain banquet quality crystal, enough for a large party, dish-washable and easily replaceable if they should ever break.
