Well temporarily at least. It is most odd but I have found that my 1.03ct solitaire suddenly looks huge again since I have been wearing a really thin half eternity ring with tiny baguette cut diamonds next to it. Why is this?

I have fallen in love with my ring all over again - hurrah

Because your eye gets familiar with the size if you wear it every day, put it away for a while then wear it once more and the diamond does look bigger!

Enjoy!

I am glad you''ve fallen in love with your ring again. Absence must make the heart grow fonder.

yippee! so glad to hear of this great little trick!

Ha! PS is such a bad influence on shrinkage! I get on PS and my diamond becomes so small.

I walk back into the real world and it''s nice and big again.

I tried on a 5.6 ct emerald cut diamond today - wowzers. That was a BIG piece of bling.

This topic tempts me to get a really thin band...my current w-ring is 5 or 6 mm wide and the bonus to this is it keeps my e-ring from spinning (usually). However, all the bling in it does take away from my solitaire a bit. When I try wearing just my e-ring by itself it looks huge again (1.5 rb) but it spins too much, so I wear it with my w-ring almost all the time.

Have you posted pictures of your new band yet?

Ah yes...I have noticed my stone looks bigger when I wear it with a 2-3mm band as opposed to my 4mm wedding band.

I have to take mine off for work and the farm visits weekly so I mightn''t have it on for two days and it always looks huge when I put it back on! I love that feeling.
