I did NOT see that coming! He was not who I expected to be sent home.... I'm bummed. :blackeye:

But it must be so tough with three great guys left to make that final call. I'm totally hooked on all the bachelor shows. And... Notice Chris Harrison was NOT wearing his wedding ring :eek: Uh oh

Really? I TOTALLY saw that coming!

DH hates one of the finalists, it's hilarious to hear him rant and rave about how wrong he is for Emily. (He hates the guy who's always kissing her.) We're both rooting for the other guy, what about you?

Oh my gosh, ditto ditto ditto.

We do not like Arie in our house; I think he is nothing but a smooth operator who will break her heart.

I thought it was obvious who her final two would be pretty early on. She is crazy about those two guys. Sean was perfect on paper, but she just didn't feel it with him unfortunately.

***************SPOILER ALERT********* STOP READING NOW!!!!**************

I thought it would be Sean and Arie... Jef is an amazing guy , but to me, it doesn't seem like he's a 'forever' partner. I guess Arie comes across that way too but Sean... he was who I thought would win it! Wow.... IMO, slow and steady is the way for a truer love to develop and that's what seemed to be happening - he wasn't hot and heavy and constantly mauling her like Arie was, so he seemed so genuine and honest. And that body.... WHOA!!! :naughty:

Arie sure does exude sex appeal, too!!

Jef was who I thought would go home. Well... it's gotta be hard when you are down to just 3 and all 3 are amazing guys that could ALL work for her and Ricki. Quite emotional now. Good luck Emily!

And Chris Harrison - he's divorcing his wife of 18 years - wow! (thank you, people.com!)

~~~Spoiler
so...... why!!! why!!! ugh... I do not like the bottom two.... well, I like one of them more than the other but I really feel like it should have been Sean. He seemed sooo genuine. More than the other two.
I really really thought Sean was gonna be it.... that they were together watching the Bachelorette and thinking wow, all the things we went thru to be together! blah!!!
I thought Sean was so BO-RING, he just seemed to say what he thought he was supposed to say in the moment. Jef was the only one who consistently talked about real things with her, while Arie just wanted to make out and talk about how awesome she was. Other than Jef, nobody had much to say for himself. Not that most of the people on these shows ever do, I think Ames was the only guy in previous seasons who ever had anything interesting to say.
Enerchi--I agree with you that slow and steady is the way to go in real life, but when it comes to the Bachelor/ette, I don't believe any of these relationships are likely to last anyway, so they should choose whoever is most exciting. :cheeky: I mean, do these people *really* believe they'll find true love on a reality show???? I think they're all just hoping for a shot to get a B-level acting gig, or to be on the Bachelor Pad. :cheeky:
I love these shows! DH and I watch them together most seasons (unless we don't like the main person) and we have so much fun analyzing them. I always tell DH to be nice because they all just want what we are so lucky to have together. Wuv, twue wuv! :love:
:lol: Haven, I am sooo stupidly hooked on these shows!!! My guilty pleasure (well, PS, too!) and my DD and I usually watch but she's away as a camp counsellor so I'm saving the shows and not telling her anything. She's totally rooting for Jef.
I liked Sean - I'd pick him in a heart beat!!! Hubba hubba!!! :kiss: :kiss: and I can totally see the appeal for Arie :lickout: Jef just reminds me too much of a combination of people I know, so I can't wrap my head around him!
Chris - glad he's gone - he just got too stalker ish. And Ryan - SLIME BALL!!! OMG!!! If he said "trophy wife" one more time.... I thought she was going to smack him! he was so only about him, nothing to do with who she was or Ricki. Ugh.
YES! Chris was really scary. I thought he was going to hurt someone else (or himself) when she finally sent him home. Very strange guy. (I hate it when the guys from Chicago are crazy!)
I was really surprised by Ryan's behavior when she didn't give him the rose. He was suddenly very measured and he seemed heartfelt. It made me wonder if he just went a bit over-the-top with the macho man BS for the cameras, but in reality he might be a good guy. Definitely a serious alpha male, but I think he might have given us a caricature of his real self.
Hey, it worked for Trista and Ryan, and Jason and Molly! ;))
Two out of 24 ain't bad, right? :cheeky:
8.3% success rate, baby!
I know, right? :lol:
The funny thing is I suspect more long-term relationships/marriages will come out of Bachelor Pad than the regular show. Season one's Tenley and Kiptyn are still together, and season two's Holly and Blake got married already!
Oh gosh, Bachelor Pad! I watch a little bit, but it gets to be too much after a while.
I wonder if that show's success rate will be higher because the people on it aren't dating twenty other people at the same time. :rolleyes: Seriously, the whole premise of The Bachelor is mind boggling . . . I LOVE IT!
Even if I ended up with the guy at the end of the season, watching the episodes back and seeing him date all these other women while he was dating me would just be too much for me. And I just don't believe you can luuuurve multiple people at once. You just can't.
Whoever she picked, I think it would be too weird for me, too, to be looking back at "our journey" and knowing/remembering/seeing her with all of those other people. I think its sort of like living a high school dream - "look at me, I'm so popular, all these people want to date ME!!" - but at some point, it shifts to real people with real emotions and that's when I have a harder time thinking - how can you *really* be so in love with someone after living under a microscope and sharing them with so many others?
Ah - but that's what hooks me to the show! Its out of my realm of possibilities, so I love the vicarious enjoyment of watching her date so many gorgeous men!!! what a fantasy!!!
Unfortunately, because of 18+ years in one aspect of my nursing life, I keep thinking --- STD!! STD!!! STD!!!! stop doing *that*! :lol: :lol: :lol:
Hahahahahaha! That's hilarious.
I can't tell you how addicted DH and I are to these shows. I think we're hooked by their ridiculousness, too. We DVR all of them so we can fast forward through the boring dates, though. :cheeky:
"Hi, I'm ______ and I like long walks on the beach, kids, dogs, candlelight dinners, flying my private jet while I take over small businesses and negotiate peace treaties for unsettled countries... and I have Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Herpes, HPV... can I kiss you now???" Down side of being a nurse in an STD clinic for all those years - that's all I focus on when I watch these kinds of things - don't even get me going on Bachelor Pad!!! OMG!!! - "Azithromycin!!, stat dose!!! Give prescription dose to Tiffany/Brad/Theo/Amber, blah blah blah" :roll:
(my kids hate me because of this!)
They always pick the one they are most sexually attracted to. Those people don't know the difference between love and lust I think. So the hormones win the day.
I haven't been watching this season because Emily is a SNORE fest, but maybe next time... I only watch when I like the bachelor/bachelorette.
