I really dislike a LOT of the girls this season...Vienna, Michelle, Gia, both girls who went home last night, and that really sweet southern red-headed girl whose name I can''t remember (she just seemed too nice).

I also don''t know what to think of Jake yet. We all jumped over Jillian last season for not having a personality, but I don''t think Jake has shown any of his personality yet! He seems so ho-hum and too nice to everyone. You could tell he didn''t like a few of the girls. I think Michelle is also being kept for ratings.

I haven''t watched, but I saw in US weekly somewhere a quote from Jake about the girl having an "affair" with a staffer...he said something to the effect of, "I had never been cheated on before"

Does anyone else find this a little hypocritical? He''s dating like 20 women at once, and she has one measly guy on the side, and all of a sudden its "cheating" and an "affair" and SO awful. PUL-lease

My original pick from last week, Ali, really went downhill this week. She turned into a "mean girl" and I no longer pick her. The only one I might like a little is Tenley, but her voice kinda irks me. Oh yeah, and I like Ella, but I don't see him wanting to take on the responsibility of a 7 year old right off the bat. I was glad that he sent Michelle home and that girl that kept teasing him about kissing...what was that all about? Haha, she didn't see that coming. She was a beautiful girl, but didn't play that out too well!

I liked Ali last week, but I think her true colors really showed last night. She seems like a very unhappy, nasty little girl.

That girl with the kissing thing was playing ridiculous games, and I love it that Jake wasn''t going to play along. I bet she could be a cool girl if she was just herself, but all that nonsense about the kissing note, and then all the "do you want to kiss me" was so put-on. I think she''s not comfortable in her own skin yet.

DH thinks they keep them tipsy all the time and that''s why they act so bizarre. I told him he just doesn''t know women that well.

I agree with both of you! Ali was so nasty last night! And the "no kiss" girl really didn''t seem to get that Jake was asking her to cut the crap and just be real, I wonder if she was really clueless that she was being manipulative. And Michelle was equally as clueless...she was trying to get Jake to reassure her that he wanted her there, but he didn''t. I''m glad he didn''t "fakely" reassure her to just make her feel better and then not give her a rose.

I don''t really like ANY of the girls (although I didn''t even recognize one of the girls that went home, and there''s still a girl, Jessie, who I don''t remember seeing interact with him at all). And that''s sad because I actually really like Jake. I think he''s my favorite bachelor ever! It would be nice to see him end up happy.

Its funny but I have more respect for Jake now -- knowing he saw straight through Michelle & Elizabeth, gave them a chance to get real, but cut them the MINUTE they kept shufflin' & jivin'.

I wanted to laugh out loud every time the "29" age flashed on Elizabeth -- that chick is 44 if she's a day. No way is she younger than me, much less by THIRTEEN years. Come on now. Maybe "nannying" ages you prematurely? Or maybe fat is filling in my cracks but MAN -- I say

to "29".

But maybe I have LESS respect for Jake after seeing him crumple into the arms of a 23 year old, shaking and crying and numb. Guess Vienna figured out her role in that case ... NURTURE ... and threw herself into it, right over a bridge no less.

The "problem" with this season is they've filled the house full of girls with relatively high self esteem. Girls that seem more concerned with what THEY get out of the relationship than what HE gets. And he so clearly wants someone who is all about HIM. Someone who will tell him what he wants to hear instead of him being genuinely interested in what THEY think. Vienna has proven she can "sense" what he needs and give it to him. Lets see if anyone else gets the chance to do the same.


ETA: I also keep wondering who REID would have picked ... maybe the girl who did impressions? Or maybe Ali?

Steph, I totally agree. I originally loved Ali, but I thought that she was being kind of nasty this week. I don''t love Vienna, but I don''t really see why everyone hates her so much. It''s almost like the producers say, OK, here''s the girl that everyone''s going to gang up on . .. to create some drama.

I''m totally glad that psycho Michelle went home too, and my DH was saying that the really pretty girl with the long black hair was a total tease, and he agreed that Jake should send her home.

Honestly, she had a really good "play hard to get" strategy, but then she didn''t play it well. She was acting like a tease, instead of an aloof and mysterious woman. Oh, well.

Ali has definitely shown her true colors. She was great as the sweet quiet one, but now that she has this sense of "entitlement" from her one-on-one date, she is not as attractive. DH watched with me last night, and mentioned that she was his favorite, and my exact reaply was, "You would have absolutely loved her last week then."

What's funny though... their one-on-one date reminded me of he and Jillian's. They looked so happy and in love... and I actually slapped myself. It is ALL in the editing.

I am actually pleased with all of the girls that went home. I LOVED that Elizabeth got called out on being a tease!!!

Jake can read people really well, and last night's episode actually made me like him more. He saw right thru her control game, and told Michelle to go home the second she pulled that "leaving game" crap again. Good for him.

Ok... I didn't see the part where Vienna was talking crap about everyone and didn't see thier one-on-one date, but I think it shows an effort that she actually tried to apologize to everyone, and don't like that they were so rude to her. Especially Ali. The girls seem to have adopted a "gang" mentality, which I think will actually make Vienna look better to Jake. She doesn't want to make friends, she just wants to be there to see if she and Jake could work out... will someone explain to me why there is something wrong with that?

OK, had to restart the thread for this week.

Ali, who was my early favorite, is really embarrassing herself by obsessing over how much she wants Vienna to leave, and by asking Jake who will get a rose - she went from being interesting to just obsessing over the other girls and her status in the competition ...

On this date with two girls, I think that he''s planning to send the single mom home to be with her son.

BTW, I just visited that cheesy hotel that they were at in San Luis Obispo, The Madonna Inn, in October. My husband and I stopped in there for lunch (we were in SLO on his biz trip) but we had to leave right away for two reasons:
1. The overwhelming smell of burnt ketchup as soon as you walk in the door
2. The decor was so over-the-top that it actually made my skin crawl - it felt creepy to me, so we had to leave. It was a very disturbing place.

Anyway, we just had a laugh when we saw that was where they had their group date.

its not on here yet but re last week... ITA re: the gang mentality the girls have. And Ali last week was just too much. she's a total bully. at the end when she was telling Vienna why she was so evil for breaking up the special time between whoever and Vienna said she didn't intend that and Ali was like 'WELL YOU DID'. jeez, i wanted to see some b-slapping then hehe.

Vienna is not my favorite at all, her and that whole vapid attitude she had when we first saw her with her little dog... but she doesn't seem MEAN or RUDE like they keep tagging her with. and she apologized and it wasn't good enough... it takes a lot to apologize IMO esp to a bunch of jealous hens like these. she hasn't seemed to do anything to the girls but be herself and oops oh he likes her.

the amazing thing is these women all act like they are 15. extremely immature. even Ella who's a MOM for heavens sake.

and i wish they could stop saying stupid stuff like 'well if he likes HER he doesnt like ME because we are totally different'. Yeah and he couldn't be interested in different types of people right? Please!
