Its that time of year again...

Every year, my dear Auntie gifts me a box of See's chocolates. Its a very kind gesture, but my husband and I don't really eat sweets (and when we do we prefer brands like Läderach). In past years I've just thrown the See's into the trash without opening.

Sooo...I'm sending out the call...who wants them? If you're in the USA, I'll mail them to you.

Last year was the First Annual See's Giveaway, and @YadaYadaYada claimed them (she'll verify this is legit and I'm not a psycho). I think I told someone (but can't remember who???) they were next on my list for this year. If that's you, remind me. If no-one remembers who that was, then comment below that you want them and you'll get them! (Regular PS participants only, no lurkers.)

Cheers! And happy holidays from RWS!

This is totally legit and those candies are delicious, whoever gets them will enjoy them for sure.

Thanks for sending them last year @RunningwithScissors, they were so good and you are a sweetheart for offering them again this year.

I found the thread from last year, Collier claimed them for this year.

"I threw away all my gold jewelry when I learned about platinum." That's what it sounded like to me. :lol-2:

I am a complete chocolate snob. And I love See's. (Well, apart from one or two oddballs in that one-pound box.) I used to express-mail my almost-shut-in Mom a box of Scotch mallows and vanilla creams (dark chocolate) every month or so. She would always tell me she she was getting low. =)2

Yes, that's right, it was @collier! My fellow alumna wins the chocolate! ;)

@MissGotRocks is #1 on Santa's See's Candy List for Christmas 2023!

Collier, I'm not allowed to post my contact info, so ... pull up my pre-loved listing for the Wolf Jewelry box, which links to my LoupeTroop listing, which lists my gmail address. Email me where you'd like your box of chocolates sent and I'll get them in the mail this week.

I'm not really supposed to have sweets due to high blood sugar, sooo...when I occasionally do indulge, its only going to be with a favorite. I don't care for See's, too sweet for my liking and I find the filling flavors cloying.

Speaking of favorite chocolates...you guys have to try Giuliani's in Rome (yes they ship to the US!). Even their simple bars of milk chocolate, dark chocolate and rose chocolate (my fav) are to die for!

And another favorite, Christophe Roussel, in Paris (not sure if they ship to the US)...their chocolate and their macaroons are some of the best I've ever had!

We're Dandelion (SF) "single origins" all the way. A go-to gift that is not crazy-expensive. Short ingredient list: just cocoa beans and (organic) sugar. And, like wine or coffee, it really is fun to taste the regional differences attributable only to the beans or whatever is done to them (and, I guess, batch and season effects, too).

I’ve never had them but a good friend of mine loves them. I don’t like overly sweet things so I’m guessing I would not enjoy them. Very nice of you to share them!!

The terroir of chocolate! I never thought of that comparison before but its so true. Love it!

My family grew up with See's, as did my husband's -- and we've kept up with the tradition -- we all have our favorites -- a box of See's gifted to someone is probably a part of every holiday/occasion we have!

Oh Goodie! It is a holiday tradition in my family that pasted with my aunt who lived in California. I will contact you shortly :)
