I know that my proposal is coming any time now, because my boyfriend has finished setting the ring, and jusst need to propose. How awful is this. He actuallly ( with much badgering) let me try it on wednesday night. It was beautiful! He said that he has to propose properly before I can have it. This is killing me! I wore it while I was sleeping, and then tried to sneak out with it on to walk the dog (Bella) He made me give it back! I turned into a little kid and didn''t want to. I can''t believe he hasn''t proposed already. He said he isn''t doing it before valentine''s day, and that he has a two week time span in mind, which is probably in March. He said it will happen before April...I know that it''s not a long time, but it feels like such a long time....Tiffany

Oh Tiffany this must be so hard, but hang in there! You know you have an incredible ring coming so try to relax and enjoy the anticipation and let him do it his way as he probably wants to make it a suprise for you, plus he might have some other surprises up his sleeve

LOL, I know the feeling. My ring is either finished now or almost done and its killing me. Luckily, I know my BF won''t be able to hold out long because he''s just as excited as I am. Maybe yours will break and do it sooner than you think.

I''m guessing that along with the "is he even going to do it?" phase, the "he has the ring now, when is he going to propose??" phase is probably the hardest. My SO and I are not there yet because we don''t have the ring picked out, but I can imagine how stressful it must be! He has it, you tried it on (!!) and for all you know he could propose tomorrow or next month! I sure would be very anxious too!!

I know it must look terribly far away at this point, but tell yourself that you''ve only got a maximum of six weeks to wait. He even said he''s thinking about two weeks!! Now that''s girl-soon!

As Lorelei said, try to relax and enjoy the anticipation. Time will go by faster this way...

Thank you for your support, I love coming to the boards to read and post! I''m sure other people would think I was crazy, but here everyone understands...it just so exciting! I don''t have any pictures of the ring, but I''ll tellyou the story... Dan and I started looking at rings. We live in Boston, and we went in a few jewelry stires, and then one day into Tiffany''s. We fell in love withe the round cut solitaire with the platinum tiffany setting. Honestly, we were just browsing, and not even close to getting engaged at that point. I called my mom the next morning, who called my aunt, and the next day my mom called, and told me that my aunt wanted me to know she had two round diamonds for me to choose from if I would like one. My aunt is the nicest person you could every meet. Everytime she comes to visit, she brings me beautiful furniture, that she has bought on ebay, and at this point, she has pretty much furnished my apartment!

Anyway, she has no children, so we are like her kids. She said that one of the diamonds was my grandmothers. It was a .75. Very pretty, and funny thing, it was set into a pinky ring for a man. I guess my uncle had worn it in the seventies... The other diamond (mine!) was her first engaement ring, which she had since set into a cocktail ring. I feel in love right away. Anyway, it is beautiful. She gave it to us at Christmas, and we ordered the Tifany replica setting from Barry at Superbcert. He did a wonderful job. It is very elegant! I can not get over how amazing it was of my aunt to once again be so generous!

I am so busy right now that you would think I would be less obsessed with my ring. I am a hair colorist in Boston, and I was just named stylist of the year, so I am busy! Which is great, because we will be paying for our wedding so I need to save! Tiffany
