I would like to begin by thanking everyone for your advice... I''ve learned a lot. Can I get an expert opinion on this stone. I''m clueless when it comes to reading the various reports. I would greatly appreciate an expert analysis. THANKS!!!

Here are my concerns hopefully someone can help me with...

1. What is the reputation of goodoldgold.com
2. Comments on the GIA report:
Additional clouds are not shown
Surface graining is not shown (What is this?)
3. Is goodoldgold.com competitively priced? Is this a fair price for this particular stone?
4. Color grade G.. how does this compare to the colorless grades?
 
Well, if you do a search you can read several great reviews on Good Old Gold; they have a great reputation her on Pricescope. Also, you are safe with a G colored stone for a Princess; it is near colorless, you should not see any color.

1. Two thumbs up.
2. Nothing to worry about in VS2.
3. I've found Excel Diamonds to have the lowest prices on AGS princesses, but they don't have all the great thingamajiggies (and expensive) that GOG does. Also, Excel has to call them in (they are just listed, but no pictures or anything.)
5. This is the highest point where most people may distinguish a difference between a D and some lower color. Maybe the sentence is worded badly; that is, most people cannot distinguish a D from an F.

About the stone. The lxw ratio might bother me. It's at 1.049 lxw, and I can see it in the pictures.
 
JulieN.. I would like to thank you for all your help. This process has been quite discouraging. I feel like I''ve reached a dead end with the internet... No AGL certified diamonds within the specifications I''m looking for.
 
You're welome. That's what PS is for.

I feel like you have lots of options, though. You seem to be shooting for 1.1+, with 1.2-1.3 preferered, H+, VS2+, probably <9000? SI1 would open up your options.
 
You''ve just about got it.. I''m shooting for F+, VS2+, over 1.0 carat and < $10,000. There just doesn''t seem to be anything in that range with enough data to may a sound decision.

2. Comments on the GIA report:
Additional clouds are not shown
Surface graining is not shown (What is this?) Clouds not shown and surface graining not shown are not an issue, especially in VS2.
3. Is goodoldgold.com competitively priced? Is this a fair price for this particular stone? GOG are competitively priced.
4. Color grade G.. how does this compare to the colorless grades? Some colour sensitive folk may notice the difference between a colourless diamond and a G with direct comparison, but not so much without, a G will still look very white and is a sweet spot for many.
