You can sort by prefixes also, select filter than select the prefix you want to see.
All the threads from the removed subforums are in hangout or wedding chat under the prefix that goes with the subforum name.
For example filtering for "Who" brings up the posts from Who's Who and newer posts using it.
We are open to adding more prefixes with in reason!
I think if we get over about 10 it gets clunky but they are easy to add and remove so we can play!

May I congratulate Karl for his hard work. For his diligence. For his focus. For his love of PS and for making this change over that he has been working on for several weeks a smooth success!
Karl had all the dozens of bits lined up and the Developers on hand.
It started at midnight for Karl so you were unlikely to be inconvenienced. 8am for the developers and a nice easy 3PM for me (and I did nothing other than a few annoying emails).

IOW Don't Even Open This Sub-forum if You're a Fragile Overly-Woke Snowflake Tattletale Crybaby ... How's 'Bout We All Leave Ella Alone so PS Can Flourish & Prosper."

How about we all consider you are in someone else's home and debating with another guest.
This was Leonid's and Irina's philosophy when we very first started the forum 2.4 decades ago.
There was a pre existing forum where rudeness ruled and PS wiped them out.

You know me Kenny - pretty ruff & tuff Aussie (anyone know my John Wayne Indian toilet paper joke) so hack away at me, like people do on LinkedIn and I am bullet proof. But not every guest in our lounge room here at PS is like UnMe :cool2:
 
Garry, I hear and deeply respect you and your, and the other PS founder's. creation!
But, as admirable as it is, how has Leonid's and Irina's philosophy withstood the a quarter century of drastically-changing times?

Even the best traditions may not be best for today.
Even the esteemed US Constitution provided for amendments.
Many for-profit businesses that didn't adapt to the times, went away.

As you know ... I LOVE PS!!!!
As usual, I don't mind being ostracized for speaking from my heart.
I don't have or want any say-so here; I'm happy to be just another voice.

I think etiquette when visiting someone's home, or entertaining guests, has had few "amendments" for the past 2,000 years.
Sure there are cultural differences, but they are usually understood and some slack cut when there is goodwill.

You are an incredibly valuable contributor to this forum Kenny.
One new part includes a SnapIt photography section and you have such a deep knowledge on photographing our "Precious's" - hope you can help lots of folk there!

Kenny, from the posts you have contributed here I have gleaned that you are a very intelligent, articulate poster and I enjoy your posts even though I don't alway agree with them.

Have you considered enjoying Pricescope and remaining a great contributor and also creating a forum of your own which would cover the subjects of angst, arbitration and antagonism which you desire and to which some others here have indicated they would readily contribute. I pretty sure there are already forums out there dedicated to that type of wrangling and perhaps that would satisfy those conversations for you and others.

An analogy that comes to mind in keeping Pricescope as it is compares an employment scenario. If you work in a jewelry store, clients are happy, relaxed and excited to be there. Now change the location to a dental office where no one is excited to be, the patients are anxious and grumpy about treatment and payment.

I personally, can find many forums with the latter office mentality and I'm not interested at all. I can make my own agony and am not interested in reading twisted facts, fallacies, swearing and hate between posters.

There is a even keel on Pricescope with their current policies which may level out even more. Angry discoursers need not apply. :hand:

People who don’t like the threads in question should stay out of them. No one is trying to silence anyone’s voice. If you want your voice heard, speak up in the threads. You were quite active in these threads @Sunrises Sunsets. Now you want them to no longer exist? You have clearly stated these threads do not interest you. Why go in them? My guess is you are much more interested in them than you are letting on. I’ve always found it quite easy to avoid topics that don’t interest me. If I’m reading, it’s because the topic interests me.

You say these threads don’t interest you and yet since your post above you have made 6 posts in the threads that don’t interest you.

I sometimes wonder how forum communities work.
Do we choose them or do they choose us?

I had 1:1 dinner with my PhD psych daughter last night. She specializes in under 25s trauma. We got onto young men and Incel misogyny and depression.
Forums can be good for the soul, like PS, or so horribly destructive.
 
Late to the thread, but sending my thanks and respects to @Karl_K too! For that matter, all of the folks that have been supportive and faithful to this forum over the years.
