Ended up with a beautiful 2.6 carat Oval set in platinum with 3/4 carat of tapered baguettes.

Beautiful cut thanks to Dave Atlas'' Cut grade guide for fancies. This stone came up as 1A in all categories.

Appreciate all of Richard Sherwood''s great advice too.

The ring turned out to be something special, lots of fire and flash, very white and virtually no bowtie. Evokes comments from complete strangers.
