Thanks everyone for the suggestions and the help

I'm having the rings for my mother-daughter project made by Daniel M from Etsy in a similar setting to the Sweet Sadie, one in silver and one in 14k yellow gold

I put the deposit down today, and I'll definitely be back with pictures when they're finished!

What type of stone did you pick?

I ended up going with a dark bluish/purple iolite. I did read some things on here about how it's one of the softer stones but I figured it should be okay in a bezel setting. I also have no problem upgrading to a nicer (but same size) stone later down the road and having him reset it

I think that will be super pretty! I like iolite, gemfix had some beautiful iolite in the past. Be sure to post pics when they are done. I like the setting you chose too.
