I just saw you posting in another thread, so I just wanted to write and thank you for your reviews of CHI products a while ago--I totally needed a new blow dryer and straightening iron this year (after busting the ones I had for the longest time), and because of what you said about CHI, I bought the nano dryer and flat iron...and they are AWESOME. I also bought some of the CHI silk infusion from what I discovered on that thread, and it''s soooo awesome.

Sooo, even though you posted to help someone else, you really helped me

I have really problematic hair (super frizzy/curly/wavy) and it has made my life a million times easier.

Thanks!!!

Oh! I am so happy it worked out for you! CHI is an amazing line and I can never really recommend them enough...by far the best.

I hope all is well with you...outside of haircare, too!

Italia! I went searching through this thread, and hopefully you can chime in (or someone else).

I had a Wiggo (Wigo?) hairdryer that I spent a lot on, or what I thought was a lot, and it sparked and went dead 2 days ago. It''s under warranty, so I''m sending it back, etc but I had to get a replacement fast. I just went to Target and got a cheap Revlon 30 dollar hair dryer.

This got me to thinking...I love my Chi and I''ve used cheapo flat irons before, and there''s definitely no comparison. But when it comes to hair dryers, what''s the benefit of the expensive ones? Healthier for our hair? Thanks! It will take probably 6 weeks for my replacement to come back, and I don''t really want to buy another hair dryer, so I was just wondering....

Lanie, I got an expensive dryer last year for my birthday and I have to say that I think it made a difference! My hair is so thick that it takes forEVER to dry, but this cuts the time pretty nicely. This year I plan on getting a good straightener and I''ll be good to go! Haha!

This is what I got: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ultrapower_d2409.html

Well, all sorts of things can be different...

Ceramic instead of metal

Higher heat volume

More power

Quieter

Some offer features like nano technology

People can get by using an inexpensive dryer just fine...millions do each day...but for performance, if you like big toys, the more expensive ones can often be great fun to have.

When I worked behind the chair, I used a very expensive Chi dryer and it was incredible. But I needed the power to dry any hair quickly...and I could never go back.
