Thank you all!! I bought the diamond and I couldn''t have done it without your help!!!
I will post the pix once the diamond is set:)

question regarding pricing, i found one diamond at blueniles and one at hearts on fire, all have the same specs as the one I got... G, VS1, negli flourescent, AGS0, sizes are in the same range. Blueniles price is 30% more than what i paid for and hearts on fire is 300% more...

should i be concerned that there''s something wrong with my diamond or should i be happy that i got a great deal?
thanks

If your stone is AGS0, then you got a great deal! I think HoF is a HUGE amount more than the typical vendor on here and I have found that BN is often a little higher. 30% does surprise me.

my setting jeweler says my diamond is less expensive than their same grade GIA diamond because AGS prices are lower than GIA prices. i think they say that because all of their inventory are GIA

I understood that you can actually pay a premium for an AGSL cert...

Generally speaking, GIA and AGS graded diamonds of *truly* comparable quality trade for the same prices. Prices do tend to be lower for diamonds graded by other laboratories with exception of the HRD out of Belgium which is their equivalent in standards to our GIA and AGS laboratories. The trick with comparing diamonds is that what the public considers to be comparable and what the trade consider to be comparable are usually at opposite ends of the spectrum because the trade takes minor differences in such things as the crown / pavilion angles and inclusion type, extent and location into account in their assessment of the value where the public usually compares the carat weight, color and clarity... More experienced consumers may take the overall cut grade into account, but rarely break the diamonds being compared down to the actual measurements. Factors such as fluorescence, surface and internal graining also contribute to price. It is not uncommon for us to be looking at two "ideal cut diamonds" of the same carat weight, color and clarity, both sourced from the same cutting house and there is a difference of $500.00 between the diamonds... The price can usually be justified by looking at the facet-by-facet structure of the diamond very carefully, the more expensive diamond quite often has a tighter facet-to-facet ratio than the less expensive option and/or has inclusions which are more subtle or of a nature which is considered to be less intrusive, such as a small feather instead of a cavity.

thank you
is faceted 1.0 to 3.2% very large for a 3.294 carat?
how does it affect the diamond?

the cutlet of my diamond is pointed, is that bad?
