I have all kinds of sweatshirts and T-shirts that I wear in honor of my Newfoundland, Griffin. I also have some signs, some of them given to me, that warn people not to come onto my property since since I have Newfoundland guarding it. In truth, he has frightened the heck out of some delivery men by suddenly waking up and making his existence known. He has dug many, many holes in lawn, but his favorite is a deep hole against the cement at the base of the front of the house. He usually sleeps peacefully there, but should he wake up and stretch, the sight of him-at 150 lbs or so-is apparently startling. Some delivery men skip coming in our gate entirely. They knock on our wall, and drop the packages outside the gate!

If a delivery man is brave enough to enter and come up the walk, he may have to step over Griffin. His second favorite place to sleep (after the hole against the front wall) is in the middle of the front walk. He doesn't move for anyone. In fact, he rarely wakes up. Unless someone is carrying a pizza. He loves pizza.

I see that your dog is female; je m'excuse! I have never really understood the French and the way they use the word "chienne". If they use it at all, it is always with the masculine article, of course. But it is used infrequently. It seems to be used more to mean "b*tch" in common parlance than to mean a female dog. So I won't use it about your pup. How about posting a picture of her in this thread? I am sure elle est belle!

Sure! It's not done yet, so I can't speak to success yet, but I am spending quite a bit of time in photoshop making this image (which I just grabbed off google images, there are lots of variations) a greyscale image that fits in the dimensions of my window. I am cutting all the white background bits out; that's what is taking so long, but those are the areas I want the bare glass to show.

Then, I plan on sending it to these guys :http://doityourselflettering.com/ . I have used them for sign lettering for my business and am very happy with the company. This will be my first time attempting a graphic instead of letters and I am hoping they can do a grey/smoked glass color, so it will look etched onto the window. But I haven't worked all that out yet or asked for a quote, either.

I'd be happy to update when it's finished!
