I talked to Richard at cherrypicked and he was an absolute doll. He''s going to have us ship everything to him, he''ll deal with setting it, and deal with quality control, and then send it back to us. *sigh of relief*

I imagine after I get it back we''ll get it insured. I was thinking of Chubbs but it seemed odd that they do not want an appraisal.

(for referance, this is from the thread about my jeweler damaging and improperly setting my ering)

Congrats!!!

That''s good news.
Does he think that the setting can be salvaged?
(What was the final word on that? I can''t remember what happened.)

Scintillating...

that is very good news.

that''s great that you finally have someone who is willing to take care of everything!!

Well that surely is a relief!!

YAY!!!! I hope it''s soon. You waited so long to get that rock, it''s a shame to give it up for awhile. We''ll be your support group while you wait.

awww, thank you!

Scintillating: the original setting did pretty much get salvaged. if you stare at it obsessively the milgrain is not a perfect curve, but apparently they couldn''t order the setting in a different size from the company, so whatever. They''d just screw it up again. It won''t bother me on a daily basis.
