You''re shopping for a ring when the jeweler presents you with a D-color diamond. Your reaction?
A. "D" can''t be good -- I got those in school.
B. This is a top-notch diamond and worth every penny.
C. Since "D" stands for "distressed," I better check for flaws.
D. Wow, this will be cheap!
Yes, because "D" color makes it perfect. Way to steer everyone wrong, TheKnot!!
"How much cash do you need (ballpark) for an engagement ring?
A. Two months'' salary
B. One month''s salary
C. Two weeks'' salary
D. Three months'' salary"
Lol... Your reactions are what I was thinking too! I wanted to see if anyone else thought those questions were skewed. It seems like it''s "telling" a guy to spend a s#@t ton of money on a D, IF platinum ring if they want the "best"... Seems to me like some one from DeBeers wrote that quiz!
I got them all right, but I''m displeased that they favor D IF Platinum as the ''best.'' Arm yourself with that info for a purchase and be prepared for disappointment.
Hmmm well I was 8 for 8 but definitely am rubbed the wrong way by some of those answers.
Primarily the ones about spending 2 months salary on a ring and D color being the best color.
I think they should have stuck with more factual questions - like identifying shape and some other terms(and gotten the answers correct)and not put their "Knot Judgement" into the quiz.
ditto - something about this quiz seems so wrong - basically you shouldn''t get married if you''re not ready to propose by spending a tonne of money on a D colour diamond.. no wonder men find the diamond industry so frustrating when the Knot is in on it too!
