Tension setting, if diamond falls will it close?

Hi,
I read that tension setting has huge pressure on diamond,
so in case I manage to knock out the diamond,
will it become a finger trap and shut the ends together at crazy pressure?
Sounds dangerous~

I think it depends on the size of the diamond, but I don't think it's that much pressure to completely close the gap.

No.
I have personally seen tension settings after the diamond was removed and the gap shrunk by only 30% or so.
