I'm looking into getting a tennis bracelet. :appl: I could use your help!!

Here is what I'm thinking:

Carats: I'm leaning towards 4 cttw. I'd like the opportunity to wear it everyday, but still have it look special for nice occasions. Does that seem too big for everyday wear? Too small for special occasions?

Length: Seems most are 7inch bracelets and they typically have about 55 stones (does that sound right?). If this is the case, then each stone would be ~0.07ct. Does that size seem like a reasonable size for a 4cttw? Is there a way to maximize the stone size?

I went to a jewelry store today and it seems that the ideal size would be a few less than 7 inches. From reading other threads, it seems I would have to purchase the entire 7inch chain and then have some stones removed. Does that seem right?

Vendor: After reading every thread I could find on tennis bracelets, I'm focused on Whiteflash and ID Jewelry. I've used both in he past and feel comfortable with my understanding of the pros/cons of each.

Color/Clarty: I was thinking G/H, SI. Does that seem like a good choice?

Chain: I'm going back and forth between 3 prong and 4 prong. Leaning towards 3, but would like to hear opinions

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. :wink2: Is there anything else I should be thinking about?

I bought a 4mm 4prong...and returned it for a 3mm miligrained bezel set bracelet. IME they faced up almost the same on my wrist and I couldn't justify the additional cost. I can't comment on vendor because I bought from estate sales. I have pics of both and will see if I can dig them up

IMG_0030.jpg are 4mm stones

3mm stones... obvs a smaller length bracelet too

Mine is a 4-prong, but you can't go wrong with either IMO. Mine was 5.5 ctw when my DH gave it to me, and I had 4 diamonds removed to size it for my wrist. I happily wore it 24-7 for 8 years, only taking it off for showering. This summer I was away, and when I took it off, I attempted to flip the catch, as always, and a link broke. I took it to a local guy, whom I let size my mom's plat 2.25 ER and stretch a platinum Tiffany band. I trust him, but I recall his being very opinionated. Anyhoo, he insisted that several other linked were damaged and he strongly advised sizing it down more (4 more links). He said only one finger should fit in the gap; previously I would say it fit just like MissPru's looks above. He claimed the constant swinging really wears down the links(the clasp hangs down, of course, and the worn out links were near the clasp) - it makes sense. It kinda (loosely) "hugs" my wrist now.Since I can always have some or all of the links added back I said I would give it a try. Also, as many of you know, but I always pooh-poohed, he said I really really should NOT wear it to swim in pools (it's WG). And, we own a hottub - none of that was good for it. Other than that, I still wear 24/7. I hope this in for helps you. Good luck!

Did you check out Brian Gavin Diamonds, talk with Leslie, I bought a 4ctw for the wife from them, she loves it.
