Temp Check

You see metric is the devils work...
no, you say well I will prove it...
Gas which makes my car go voom voom is sold by the gallon and that is good.
Milk which makes for good bones is sold by the gallon and that is good.
Water by which supports life is sold by the gallon and that is good.
Pop which is bad for ya is sold in liters and that is bad.
Well now you gonna say hey pop is also sold in 12oz cans and 16oz and 20oz bottles so that dont work.
Well those are the gateway ones to lure one into the dark side so you buy them evil 2 liters.

Lol wait a minute. My water is sold by the liter...

A very pleasant 0 degrees here today. Sunshine and melting snow.

Was 63F here this afternoon and bright sunshine all day! (Pretty windy, though.) Went jogging and then hubby and I took our doggo out for an hour-long walk. Tomorrow is forecast to be 58, but cloudy. Still - I'll take it.

@kenny - I love you, man. Don't ever change.;)2

It's actually snowing now and was in the 30s today. I'm sure it will turn to rain at some point unfortunately. Snow is so much prettier.

Yes, snow is SO much prettier. I hate it when it rains in winter - so gray and dreary, often followed by ice everywhere.:((

Sometimes when it rains in winter i think good !
It won't be so cold today
....wish it would rain now

71F in Denver today
Tomorrow snow and 30s. Love our Colorado weather!

28 deg celcius here today. A welcome change from the 2 days of 42-44 deg celcius we got last week :oops2: (about 110F)

I'm in Westminster, by Standley Lake. My phone said 73 yesterday, and 23 right now. Crazy. I don't really mind the snow if it would just be one of those storms where the grass is covered but not the sidewalks and streets.

It was in the mid-50s here in the midwest yesterday. Scary.

73 high, 57 low in Birmingham, AL this fine day! (it'll probably snow tomorrow) LOL

I just went outside to hose the garden cat bowl
Its burnie hot out there
had a cold shower but im hot and sweaty again already
Im looking forward to some rain tonight - its rained about once since January 1st

Sunday it was 70s, sunny : we had lunch on an outside patio, went for a walk and I washed my car in shorts.
By Wed, highs will be 30s, lows in 20s with possible sleet/snow! North Texas.

Snowing in South Carolina. My friend just sent us this photo. Colder there than here in Brooklyn.

I am in Connecticut. It is 29 degrees F here and supposedly "feels like" 16 degrees. I got this off the 'net when I searched for today's weather.

"A burst of painful cold will follow a storm that unleashed rain along the Eastern Seaboard and more snow in the northern tier as a weather pattern seemingly stuck on repeat this winter plays out yet again.

Even though Arctic air of the magnitude forecast for the eastern United States is quite common during the middle of February, the upcoming frigid conditions to sweep in on Friday could be a shock for millions, to say the least, amid what has largely been a mild winter season. Meanwhile, the northern Plains and Upper Midwest will face downright dangerous conditions with this bitter blast."

It has been a very mild winter here so far and I have really missed the snow. It has only snowed a few times, and never a really big storm.

17 degrees F at the moment. Sunny and bright but wicked cold.

Yesterday was -20 (-4F for those of you in one of the only countries that uses Fahrenheit, Ha! Ha! Smilies not working for me right now ).

As usual when it’s so cold the sun was shining and we had a lovely blue sky.

Sunshine again today, but now it’s a balmy -8 degrees (around 18F) so I’m feeling like this day is a beautiful gift.

I can't compete with Canadian cold! It was 11 degrees F on our back deck this morning. Practically balmy by Canadian standards!

Canada switched from Imperial to metric in the 1970s, so people my age! ! are quite used to both systems.

I worked in science, so I was already used to metric before we switched. I’m still OK with Imperial, except I seem to have lost the ability to ‘think’ in Fahrenheit.

@AGBF I had to look up what 11F is in Celsius to actually know what it might feel like. Cool, even for Canadians, unless the sun is shining and there’s no wind.

...and like many Americans, I had some exposure to the metric system in science classes. I also lived briefly in Paris and remember letters from my mother-in-law complaining it was teriibly hot at 40 degrees. So I have some markers for Centigrade temperatures. I am not comfortable with metric temperatures, though. I am still used to the Imperial system.
