Hi everyone,

I''ve been lurking around for a bit now. Anyways, I am going to ask my girlfriend to marry me, so I''ve been on the hunt for a diamond!

I found this diamond. Tell me what you think. It looks great in real life, but I want to make sure it''s good by the numbers. It also concerned me that there were no GIA serial numbers on the diamond. But I guess they don''t always have that.

This is a 60 60 type diamond ( depth and table both around 60%) and there are those who like this style of diamond. Generally we see smaller tables here, of around 54- 57%, but the diamond in question appears to be well cut. I would compare with other well cut diamonds with a table in the region above, to make sure you like this diamond, but as it already appeals to you by the sound of it, then it is well worth consideration.

I was conserned with the table size. Really only because everywhere that I read they always talked about 54-57 for the table.

I know, that is the PS standard, or seems to be, the numbers we use when advising, but some do prefer a larger tabled diamond - and a 60 60 as we call these can be a great pick, especially if you have seen one in person and like it! It looks to be a well cut 60 60, and if you like it, well worth you considering. If you aren''t sure, then I would say to compare it to some AGS0 cut grade with the smaller tables, or any other well cut diamonds with smaller tables, to make sure you like the look.
