Still kicking myself for missing a tsav that popped up in the preloved forum, so I’m ooogling all your lovely stones once more. Thank you again everyone for sharing your lovelies and your knowledge!

@partgypsy your ring is beautiful and that stone is SUBLIME

@Catmom that’s a gorgeous set, and I love the pin — you colored gem gals are so innovative and bold with your jewelry, it’s inspiring!

@T L thank you for the link!

@Arcadian and @budmanbudman10 your stones are stunning! I’m in awe of the color saturation and brightness!

This is my bright green tsav, which I lucked out on and was able to acquire on LoupeTroop from another PSer before she went trade. One of my earliest CS acquisitions, so I almost forgot about it. Not the super saturated kind, not bluish. This is the more affordable type of tsav, but even this color is hard to find over two carats.

That’s a fun ring too. Even the lighter tsavs strike me as having a great brightness; I am having fun looking at all the shades even though I tend to be more drawn to the blue-leaning stones over the yellow.

Here’s my 4 ct included tsav pear from Prima, My 2.49 ct oval from Precision Gem, 4+ ct mint, 1.9 ct mint from Peter Torraca, and a little tsavvy mint cushion from Gene. Let’s just say I understand your curiosity about greens. :) 13E7F790-24E3-446D-87E8-5EAB4799E5C4.jpeg 0C7D5871-6761-46B0-853D-2CCE24F781FC.jpeg B5FEF29F-E267-4BC4-879E-15FDD01ACE63.jpeg 6777CECD-2D26-445E-9DF8-48EC5BB24F85.jpeg 9C40180A-818F-4B2B-A01D-8D2196879F01.jpeg

That is a wonderful collection! I can see myself ending up with a few tsavs over time just because they are such bright and varied stones. I am more drawn to the saturated blue-leaning greens, but I keep seeing yellow-leaning greens I love too!

I love the variety in your collection @lilmosun :kiss2: and thank you for thinking of me on the other thread — I am kicking myself that I didnt just sit down in my car and snap up that tsav when I had the chance! But alas it wasn’t meant to be. I am very much still enjoying browsing online and seeing all the wonderful PS pics.

My moody gal ♥

She's much darker than many would prefer but I actually adore darker tsavs, especially when they have lots of blue!

I forgot her ct weight but I vaguely remember her being 1.2-1.3cts.

I've since taken her out of her simple bezel setting & have very far plans of setting her in a diamond halo.

Oh wow! I haven’t come across a tsav this color yet and she’s a real stunner. Moody is the perfect word. I am transported to a lush pine forest just looking at her. :kiss2:

Screenshot_20190916-215917_eBay.jpg Here's mine. Just shy of 5cts. She does have some internal beauty marks as I call them, but we are in love, lol

Lovely! Do you have any setting ideas yet? I’d love to see what you do with her!

Thank you! I haven't been able to make up my mind up, as I tend to like every style I see, ha. I will definitely post a thread once I do. I have another project first, so she may be set in late 2021.

Jeff W posted a video of a suite on his FB page recently, and I hope it belongs to a PSer as the stones looked gorgeous!

Anyone else finds tsavs hard to photograph? Or is it just my phone camera? Somehow the greens don’t come out as nice as what I see irl so just wondering

I think mine look mostly like a dull lifeless green in photos. Sometimes I take what looks like a decent photo on my phone but then on a full-size screen...bleh. I have the same problem with emeralds. (I can't seem to photograph my mahenge spinels either.) I've always chalked it up to me just being a lousy photographer.

Yes exactly like that when irl they look so nice and green... you know like vibrant but looks so flat in pics...

I realized this morning that my black phone case isn’t doing my gems any favor - was wondering why I see so much extinction/black in my sapphire pics vs irl and then like “duh the phone case is black”. But even with this “handicap” I can still sometimes take decent pics of some gems. But never for tsavs. Am using an iPhone 11 max pro. Anyone else has better luck with android phones?

I have a Pixel XL which is an android phone and supposed to take great pictures. But I also have a black phone case...so thanks for pointing that out!

I freaking adore tsavorites.

Here are a couple of my absolute favorites.

This mint garnet owned by @aljdewey

This tsavorite owned by @suzanne2

This tsavorite was sold by Diamond by Lauren (and how I wish I had the money back then ;(). Personally, I want one just like this...but bigger.

I agree I have a hard time photographing both emeralds and also tsavorites. Basically looking less saturated than they are irl. Love looking at all the beauties in this thread.

This is my only tsav right now. 6.5x5mm, 1ct. I’m thinking someday to make a Christmas theme ring with a few rubies & maybe a band with Holly on it.

I just wanted to say that my favorite color of tsavorite is a slightly bluish green with medium tone and strong to vivid saturation. That pear shape in the halo above in my photos is difficult to photograph, but it, and the round, are my two favorite colored tsavorite. The photos do them no justice. They look like green Christmas foil in real life.

The mint heart and the oval in the same photo are also beautiful to me. They glow like paraiba at times.
