Tea VS Coffee

TEA!!!!

I drink a pot of it in the morning and during the cold weather I drink a few more during the day. In the summer it's ice tea. Don't even TRY to talk to me until I've had my daily jolt.

My favorite of Vanilla Tea, followed by Irish Breakfast and English Breakfast tea--but I also drink the Stop and Shop brand. I don't care for Lipton-it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm a tea lover. I'm not really a fan of coffee, or not coffee in a state that I could drink regularly (lots of sugar and cream, like ice cream!).

I'm like HH, I very, very rarely drink coffee, but when I do it has to taste like dessert. Usually I put in 6+ packets of sugar, then add 50% coffee and 50% half and half.

I drink tea almost daily. I have two Twinings teas here at my desk: one pack of Lady Grey and one pack of Irish Breakfast. I was head over heels for the tea in Ireland (hence the Irish Breakfast), but nothing here seems to taste the same. I don't love herbal teas, but do take sugar with my tea.

Oh, and I have iced tea in my fridge at all times, summer or winter. Here in New England it's called sweet tea, but where I'm from it's just iced tea--nobody back home would ever dream of not putting sugar in their iced tea.

NEL -- I thought sweet tea was a southern thing. No? I'd never heard of sweet tea until I moved to NC. I call it iced tea also.

Interesting-- if somebody wants unsweeteened tea in my hometown, they have to ask for unsweetened tea. If they just order iced tea, it comes sweetened. I always thought that people called it sweet tea in areas where the default iced tea is unsweetened. Maybe it's just a regional quirk where I'm from...

I drink tea on occasion. I enjoy black tea with lemon the most.

I like coffee, but i can't drink it because it gives me heartburn. No idea why.

Coffee once in the morning. Rest of the day I'm a tea toddler. Basic black tea (but I like it very strong), with lemon. Or green tea with jasmine. That's it.

Coffee with French Vanilla creamer, but I would trade it all for a diet coke any day!

Neither.

I drink only one cup of coffee in the morning (with breakfast), so it's usually eating toast or bagel etc.

The rest of the day I drink Green tea (mango flavored) and in the evening I drink Rooibos tea (it's an african plant that is high in antixidants, naturally low in tannins and caffeine free).

Love my morning coffee! I fill up a big travel mug, and I think that holds about 3 cups of coffee. I used to drink double that, so I'm pleased with my progress in decreasing my intake.

I doctor mine up with fat-free creamer and several packets of Splenda. YUM!

I also like tea (also with cream and Splenda), but I tend to only have tea when I'm sick or on a very cold winter night.

I drink one to two cups of Lipton a day (usually one). I put a small amount of half and half in it. I don't care for coffee, especially not coffee from Starbucks. I will drink it once or twice a year if I need a pick me up or I tea isn't available.

When I read that sentence I accidentally skipped the word "diet" and just saw coke....I was like...

I don't like tea OR coffee .... I much prefer ice cold water or skim milk :)

LOVE both.

I like weak, sweet creamy coffee, so a big yes to ice coffe, cappucinos, frappes, etc.

Vanilla Caramel is my fav, but also love french vanilla, vanilla caramel brownie, caramel, irish cream, amaretto.... *nom*

I also LOVE tea...

Celestial Seasonings Sweet Apple Chammomille is my current fav. Also love lady grey, earl grey and constant comment green tea, I also enjoy chammomile and jasmine green tea. Sleepytime is great, and apple cinnamon if/when I can find it. It's been discontinued :blackeye:

About 6-8 cups of tea a day - my name is blackpaw, and im addicted to tea :o

i drink tea with a pinch of milk, no sugar. and so apart from jasmine tea i only like black teas. My favourite is earl grey with jasmine :praise:

I drink neither on a regular basis. Coffee only after fancy meals, with a bit of half & half and splenda. I'll drink tea in winter, particularly when I was pulling all-nighters during law school, switching between Earl Grey, peppermint, or a mango black tea. For Earl Grey I add half & half, the others no cream. Always sweetened, either with splenda or sugar-free Torani syrups (I have vanilla and raspberry around right now).

My restaurant drink of choice is definitely iced tea with lime (SOOO much better than lemon!!!), sweetened with splenda. Although I never turn down a good passion fruit or mango tea, then usually without the lime.

I usually have .5-1 cup of coffee in the morning to wake me up, then have 2 cups of tea at work, then ice tea at home, or maybe a cup of hot tea in the evening. I really enjoy both. I keep decaf coffee at home so that I can have it anytime! I'm not choosy, I use instant. :read:

Tea thread for dragonfly :)

tea all the way!!! i love to brew it with fresh mint and enjoy it with a sugar cookie! i drink tea a few times a day-- lots of ice tea in the summer!

I love tea! I would easily drink 6-8 cups every day and it is such a comfort drink to me. I just have it with milk.

::)

Tea all the way! The only way I like coffee is if the drink is no more than about 1/3 coffee with lots of milk/flavoring/whipped cream. In other words, really unhealthy. Also, FI and I like to go on coffee shop dates (all the time when it's not so hot) and the fancy coffee drinks are pricey. Since he drinks plain coffee, it's a much more economical date if I just get a cup of hot tea!

I can be a tea snob - I don't like bags much, and I prefer loose leaf. I like a lot of Teavana teas and blends, which I generally drink plain or with a bit of milk & rock sugar (depending on the particular blend).

Right now, I'm on an Earl Grey kick. I've been drinking a lot of Earl Grey with milk. But since I'm a hot tea drinker, and it's been over 100 degrees here every day, I don't drink it quite as frequently. If I have some, it's generally one cup per day.

I tend to not like food with my tea. Just the tea is fine. And strangely enough, I don't care for iced tea much. I'll have sweet tea occasionally or flavored. But not that often.

Coffee!!!

I love, love coffee. Thai coffee, Vietnamese coffee, lattes, etc.

I tried cultivating a taste for tea a while back. Got loose leaf teas from Harney & Sons, got an infuser, got a bunch of samples of green and white teas, as well as some black teas. Gotta say, not my thing. Wet tea leaves kind of gross me out. I think I like tea bags. And teas just aren't my thing, unless it's sweet tea or bubble tea.

ETA: I have been trying to limit my intake of coffee lately. Since it's summer I've usually been getting Italian sodas - yum. But as soon as it gets cold again, coffee all the way!

Tea, always, if it is hot tea I put milk and lemon in it and cold tea straight up or with lemon. Nothing better in the winter then to curl up with a cup of english breakfast tea, a few shortbread cookies and my laptop :D

Tea. I only have coffee like 6 times a year. And that when I crave something that is the equivalent of coffee ice cream.

Both! I tend to drink more tea in the winter, but I have at least a mug of both every day.
