My goodness. I knew one of the original founders of Blue Nile way back when. Last time I saw him was at a Polygon conclave in Seattle may more than twenty years ago.

Some of us were giving him flack for having bragged on early morning tv about doing 28 million in sales and only losing 30 million dollars their first year in business. Went on to say that in only five more years they should break a profit.

I agreed with him that the Internet was the future and I am very happy to see that they have done so incredibly well. I hope he spends his money foolishly and never runs out.
