Tanzanite tension setting ??

What do you all think about putting a tanzanite stone into a tension setting for a ring ?

Personally, Tanzee, I don't think a jeweler would consider putting tanzanite into a tension setting. It is simply too soft a stone, some folk won't even put it in a ring.

i would never do it. tanzanite is not tough enough for a proper tension setting. you might get it to stay there, but it would almost certain fracture quickly under normal usage.




tanzanite needs settings that protect it from damage. it is not a tough stone.
