I wasn''t happy with the way a lot of the pictures I took of this piece turned out but I wanted to share this stone/ring with the colored stone enthusiasts here on PS. I hope you enjoy it!
7.50 Oval Cut Tanzanite with around 1.00 cttw Marquise Cut VS G-H Diamonds In 14k Yellow Gold
I am sorry for the poor wording in the title. It didn''t even cross my mind that my wording choice would be taken as meaning a yellow tanzanite.
Regarding a handshot, I will see if I can get one some time this week. I will ask one of the ladies at the shop if they will let me take a few photos of them wearing it. I don''t think I will be able to get it on my own hand but as a last resort, I can put it on finger display stand.
As far as owning this piece, I only wish I could. I hope to be able to purchase a nice and big tanzanite at some point (it is in my long list of gems to own for my personal collection). Whoever ends up with this stone will be someone I am very jealous of.
After finally sifting through all the photos I took of this ring that look poor, I found another that looks decent. It is only a small change in perspective (small angle difference and from the other side) but I think enough of a change to make it worth showing.
Yep - another who thought this was going to be a yellow tanzanite!
If you''re tempted to buy a big Tanzanite, the price has dropped considerably per carat in the past few years and you should be able to pick one up much more reasonably than 5 years ago. The only thing I would say is that if you buy from a shop you''ll be adding zeros to the price. Typically the price for a Tanzanite per carat is around $450 (set into a ring). The price comes down also the higher carat weight you go. So, it will be less per carat for a 7ct stone than a 3ct stone strangely (not by much but still less)!!!!
There are some lovely pieces of Tanzanite owned by members of this forum - do a search and look for the eye candy!!!
