Talk me out of it... 75% table on Asscher?

Haha @OoohShiny I know. ;-) Lazy cell phone pictures! Gotta find the real camera... But anyway, the humongous JA video did a great job; it looks even better in person since the obstruction isn't really that prominent.

Yay I'm glad you got it.. I just stumbled on this thread and reading through it I was thinking it is such a quirky stone and deserves to be looked at in person. It will make a stunning necklace.

Your find makes me happy !

The impression of 'no fire' makes me want to hit DiamCalc again: the nature of the cut is to give a broad flash & this must be true for diffraction too ... [I imagine ETAS is three dots ! @Serg ]

So, @valeria101 , do you mean that you'd expect more fire from the cut than I saw? Would love to know whether my impression correlates with the mathematical/modeled expectation for a cut like this!

.
I am curious too ...

Because the stone is not set, I expect it to work as a simple prism - www (a small & fiddly one !)

On the other hand, there ought to be FIC proportions for square step cuts - even just adjusting the pavilion steps; would need to play with this a little.
