Hello!
I''m trying to take a black background photo of my stone which is now set in my ring. The only way I can think of doing it is to wrap a piece of black fabric round my ring (aka a sock!) so that only the crown is visible. Clearly this will stop any additional light entering via the pavillion - will this effect the result? My guess is no since I''m trying to measure the performance of light refecting in and out again via the crown but just thought I''d check.
Thanks chaps!
