I would love some help searching ebay for some OMC's that are in the 4-5mm range. I'm looking at having earrings made so they can be lower in clarity. I can't seem to find anything- am I using the wrong search words? I did see one bypass ring but the diamonds were too large for me to use...and hense out of budget.

Budget is around $1500- I appreciate any and all help I can get!

Do they have to be OMCs? I know of a steal ring with two 5mm OEC stones I can post for you.

Dreamer I would be happy to look at OEC's. Thought I think OMC's will be better for the earring type I'm going for I would be thrilled to take a look and see if they might work.

TIA! It is so hard to get online with 2 little ones, but I really want to get these earrings done!

These two eBay sellers frequently list diamonds omc/oec diamonds in about the 4-5mm range:

I found this one ring under budget:

And this other one just about at your budget. It's got 3 omcs, so maybe you could make a matching pendant too? ;)

Between gypsy, dreamer d, and Yenny you are in good hands

I hardly count in the company of dreamer and gypsy, but I'm obessesively hunting and if they thought something I posted had possibilties, I'd trust them. I hope that Sarah won't buy something on my suggestion alone.

You really should not pay more than about $250 for a stone that size, so please don't blow $1500 on two of them! Unless you just want a quick fix. If that is the case then call OWD, they have stones in that size in the $500+ range. Too rich for my blood but better than some of the examples thus far, which are nice rings but waaaaaay over priced!

Let us know if you are still looking, I don't wan to post links unless you are still here.

Actually I probably would!!!!!!!!

Thanks Dreamer!!! I guess I should have said my budget for the entire project was around $1500 meaning the diamonds and then setting them!

I love the 3 stone ring that Xiriah posted, I just wish the diamonds were a bit more squarish.

I'm looking at the OMC earrings on Jbeg. In the yellow gold sunburst settings. They are at the top of my budget but I like the cut. Can anyone else weight in on those?

You're really sweet Sarah. I'd really like to see what Dreamer comes up with for $250! I've been looking for slightly larger stones (5.5mm) and I can't find anything under $1K (and mostly between $1200-$1400).

The earrings on JBEG look nice. I'm more well versed about oec's, so I can't comment on them from a technical perspective, but they sure look pretty and seem fairly well priced. However, if Dreamer can find you a pair for $500, then that's the way to go. Spend another $200 on the setting and buy another sparkly with the "leftover" money! :naughty:

Here is an example of a 4.7mm stone that was listed at like $680 and sold for $300. The seller has many stones available, as a previous poster linked, and a 4.5mm stone should be under $300.

Here is one, 4mm, I'd only offer about $200 or less: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370572322316?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649

These are "OMC" ish, looks well matched, likely over 4mm based on their mm estimate:

Wow Dreamer! You really ARE the OEC whisperer! How did I never come across these???

Those are some great choices Sarah! Can't wait to see what you buy!

ETA: Dreamer, can you comment on why it seems so hard to find a match for an H color 5.5mm oec with nice faceting pattern for under $1500?? It's OK if your answer is simply "you're not looking in the right places!" But if there's something I'm missing, I'd sure like to know, b/c I'm driving myself nuts and am about ready to just call OWD and pay retail!

At this point, it would be an act of mercy! :knockout:

oh gosh those are some tempting OEC's!!!! I almost pulled the trigger on the emerald ring as those were extremely nice, but not quite right for this project. I think I really have my heart set on OMC's and tragically I really love the facet pattern on the jbeg ones- which stinks because Dreamer could have saved me 1k if I just wanted OEC's!!!!!! :nono:

However, I will hint that these earrings have now evolved....it looks like they will be the top half of a pair of micropave chandleirs from either SK or VC (LM if I get REALLY desperate). Think drama!!! With colored gemstones at the bottom of the earring :naughty:
