I would be lost without the Internet...more than any other modern technology, the Internet has been a lifesaver. It''s made me a savvier consumer, allowed me to keep in touch better, and entertained me more than TV...

So I thought of all the things I''d give up before I''d give up the Internet...

Cell phone - I hate it anyway.
Blackberry - take it!
Television - reality shows or a wealth of information? No contest
My car - Even in L.A., I''d find ways to get around
Microwave - "real" cooked food tastes better.

BUT...I''d be hard pressed to give up my engagement ring (too sentimental)...even possibly going back to the library for research..

What would or wouldn''t you give up for the Internet?

Yep I hate cell phones!!
Any phone for that matter.
Don''t own a TV, just watch it on my computer once a week at most.

Have to have a car here there is no public transportation.

Cell phone. . . I am always forgetting it in the car.

VCR never use it, entertainment center (I am always listening to my ipod); I can''t think of anything else.

I wouldn''t give up travel. I''d give up fast food, but probably not fine dining.

Good thing no one is asking me to...

what this sounds like to me is an invitation for internet service providers to jack up their prices If you would sacrifice all these things you love so much, why not a little more cash?

I would not be lost without the cel phone since I don''t have one.TV, computer I can go without.Just need my electronic organizer ( they don''t make them anylonger) I keep everything there, so if I needed to replace it I would be out of luck because now B-berry, I phones etc dominate...
