So, FI (yay, I get to say that now!) live on opposite coasts. Back in March, during his last visit, he ordered a ring for me from GOG. He came out again to visit on Thursday, so I was really hoping that he would propose over the weekend. But he didn''t (eek).

Meanwhile, we had been trying to plan for a September wedding, but ultimately decided that June 2011 would be better. Between him looking for a job out here and selling the house, it was just too much stress. Plus, my relatives are spread out all over the country, and I wanted to give them more than just a couple of months notice so that they could make plans.

On Monday, I started getting a bit nervous. I thought that perhaps he was planning to save the proposal for another trip since our wedding had been postponed. I''d already started making plans for the wedding (e.g. bought the dress), and honestly felt a bit strange to be doing all this with no ring on my finger. It just didn''t feel official.

FI knew I was getting antsy, and let it slip that he had been planning to propose at Disneyland on this coming Saturday. I told him I didn''t want to wait.

So, he proposed very quietly and with no fuss at home. It was perfect. He''s perfect.

I couldn''t be happier.
