This is a question for Tacori lovers:

I have been married for about 2 years (with a non-Tacori ring) and recently decided that I would eventually like to upgrade to a Tacori setting and band. There is one e-ring I particularly like, no. 2584RD65.

The problem is that my husband and I are still students and it will be several years before we can afford this! Do any of you know how long Tacori typically makes their designs? I think this is a newer style, but I''m still a little worried that it might be discontinued before I can grab it 5-10 years from now.

Thanks for your advice!! I''ve really enjoyed browsing these forums over the past few days. :)

Perhaps in 5 or 10 years your tastes may have changed. Or perhaps they''ll discontinue it and you''ll get a chance at a nice close-out price.

you can always get someone to custom make you a ring w/ similar design aspects

Yes, these are both good reminders. I''m still hoping to get a real Tacori someday and maybe even this design...we''ll see how things go with the $$.

If anyone has any knowledge of how often Tacori does a turnover of the designs they offer, I''d still appreciate hearing about it!

Tacori comes out with new designs every year. That doesn''t necessarily mean that they discontinue all the previous styles, however I think it unlikely that the same ring would be available 5 to 10 years later. Styles change more frequently than that.

Thanks, purrfectpear. I figured as much but wanted to confirm with PS.

Our fifth anniversary is in 3 years and I could probably scrape together enough for the e-setting and stone by then...any opinions on whether this would still be around in 3 years??

If you go to a dealer they have a HUGE binder of all of the available styles. I would e-mail Tacori directly and ask them but I can''t imagine it would be a problem.

Your tastes will probably change in a few years. Either way, I would just keep a close eye on this setting and make a phone call every year or so to make sure the design hasn''t been discontinued. If it has, then you will have enough heads up time to snatch it up. I would also continue to check out pearlmans "great deals" section and other places where it might show up on consignment for you to get a great deal.

OK, thanks to all of you for the good advice!! :)
