I might be finalizing a deal for H color 0.91ct PRINCESS cut diamond. I have three Tacori settings in mind: 2576pr, HT2326, or 2620PR (halo).

Ring size: 7
Diamond measurements 5.32 x 5.18 x 3.94mm (will fit in all the settings I like)

Prices:
HT2326: $3,970 (small - total carat weight .41ct)

2526PR: $2900 (small/medium - total carat weight .32ct)

2620PR small: $3070 (small - total carat weight .25)

I am leaning more towards the delicate halo setting 2620PR as it might make my diamond look bigger. However, the band for small version is kinda thin (tcw .25); the medium version is $3620 and has total carat weight of .30 (not a huge difference tho). I am confused between small and medium for 2620pr only.

Which ring do you prefer considering their style and price?

Please comment; I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Links to the settings would be polite.

thanks gypsy... but would u recommend 2620pr/2638 medium or small size for 0.91 stone and ring size 7? small isnt too small but i am just too confused. lol

I wouldn't recommend either. It's not my place because I have no idea what Tacori does with their settings and what they recommend. I would call your retailer and ask them which they recommend. For me, which ever makes the stone proportionally look larger and less like it is being swallowed by the setting is the one I would chose-- I suspect that would be the small, but I don't know. On a size seven, I'm thinking the halo boost would be a great idea though.

I like the last of the three.

Of the original 3 options, I would go for the 2620PR in the smaller carat weight.
but... if you were going to consider another option, I'd prefer Gypsy's selection - it seems more delicate and yet detailed, and seems to sui the size of PR diamond you've chosen, better. That's just my opinion.

I love the halo setting you chose, or the one Gypsy chose.
You have a tough decision !!! :sun:

I don't know if this will help and please excuse my aged hand,
but I snapped a quick pic of my size 7 ring finger with a
5mm stone in a holder.
Keep in mind, this is sitting about half an inch high (and is a round stone in a "square" holder).

I know your Beautiful Fiancee has much prettier hands and fingers,
many ladies like their ring to look as large as possible....
So the halo may be the right choice, just sayin'

I was under the impression that your ring "size" is determined by the center stone weight. While tacori is hand made, they have molds that they use depending on the size stone you set. Of course they can make whatever you like but they harge extra for having to create a new mold. my estimate was an extra 900 to put a pear into an oval setting. I like going to since 1910's website for tacori because it shows you what size you need for your center stone.
