I''m curious...do these and other popular setting designers have a certain quality of the stones in their setting that they always adhere to. I would imagine it would be very middle of the road, so that the majority of center stones would look nice with them...Anyone know? klr

anyone???

I have a Scott Kay setting and the diamonds that came with it are of exceptional quality (not just my opinion, but that of my independent appraiser!). See my post under Show Me the Ring...Finally, Pics of my E-Ring.

Considering the price you pay for designer jewelery, I would think that Tacori would be of the same type of quality. Hope that helps!

hello,

When I went into my local jewelers I looked at some GORGEOUS Tacori Rings. The jeweler said there were CZs placed on them but that I could buy a diamond from the them (the jeweler) and they would send the diamond and the desired setting to Tacori. So therefore the quality of the diamond would actually be from the jeweler rather than Tacori itself.

Hope that helps. :)

Thanks, I was just wondering if the sidestones were always of a certain quality? (f-g?, vs-si?) They sell so many of the same style ring at the same price, so I was curious what their setting quality HAD to be. I''m not looking, but I imagine that since I was curious, consumers in the market for erings, bands may be as well...klr

Yes, the do have high quality stones. I have a tacori ring. They have F/VS1/2 stones in the settings (very small)

The scott kay rings also have F/G color and I forget the quality. I''m pretty sure it was VS1/2 as well.

Precision set rings have G/H SI1 stones. And their eternity rings are a little better priced than scott kay or tacori.

The Tacori rings "SIDE STONES" are not CZ''s in the store. The center stone is normally a CZ for show, however.

Thanks Laney...your ring is stunning, by the way! klr

i have a tacori set like laney''s with 0.33 carat each side stones and those plus the pave stones sparkle like mad! you can see really nice sharp arrows too on the side stones so I do think they are all cut well. they better be with all the money you pay for those!!!

I have a Tacori and when we had it appraised the appraiser couldn''t believe what high quality sapphires and diamonds Tacori used in the setting. VS clarity and G color. The sapphires are very blue. A little darker than the picture to the right (I should have turned off the flash). The only thing that disappointed me is that since they are hand made not everything is PERFECT. Also mine doesn''t have an under gallery (maybe others do) But I love that since they are custom you can change anything on the ring and Tacori will make it exactly like you want. They will add gemstones, engraving, anything.

Hope this helps,
Sarah

What''s an under gallery? Its probably obvious but I never heard of that.
