wondering if anyone can answer a couple of questions for me.

Here is my situation, I purchased a tacori ring and diamond online from the US. They are a official tacori retailer. I live Canada and there is a nearby tacori retailer. If I need to get my ring re sized or maintained, do I have to go with the tacori retailer I purchased the ring from, or will the local tacori retailer be able to help me out? I don't want to ship the ring back and forth. Also, if I am ever in California, can go straight to the tacori shop or does it have to go through their partners? Thanks!

Edit

I called my local tacori dealer and they answered all my questions.

It would be nice if you could share the answer as others may come searching for an answer to the same question!

You can go to another tacori dealer and they will help you send it off to tacori.

Tacori will only deal with their vendors so you cant go to their doorstep :(.

so apparently it will cost my $300 to ship the ring insured from Canada for both ways .... (depends on the value on the ring 18k~)

I have a tacori ring and I'm in Canada. You can take it to your local tacori dealer, their metal smith is authorized to work on tacori pieces. Depending on the work needing to be done, the local dealer is authorized to do the work on behalf of tacori. If the work needing to be done is more substantial than what your local dealer can do, your dealer will ship it to tacori for you.

Eta: my dealer sized my ring and tighten up one of the teeny prongs. No need to ship to tacori.

Thanks Maccers, thats good to know! I guess if a side diamond falls out that's beyond the local dealer right?

Sorry Stacks, I don't know the answer to that question. I suppose it could depend on a lot of things, if the stone was lost due to quality control issues (I would think tacori would want to see it in person) vs user wear and tear, or the skill level of the local vendor. Personally, I'm gentle with my rings, I want the fine milgrain detail and tiny inset stones to look great for as long as possible so I take them off to sleep, don't work out or do housework with them on. Ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure as they say. Please post your purchase once you have it!

I do know of an AD who did replace little melee stones on a Tacori ring. So you'll just have to ask your local dealer about the specific issues when you take the ring in. I assumed you could go to any Tacori dealer for maintenance and repair and am glad that is the case! You just need to be sure whatever is done is within Tacori rules because you want to keep the warranty since they do sometimes lose little stones.

My son bought a consignment Tacori setting at a non Tacori dealer. Is the setting warenteed by Tacori without paperwork or should he just use the local jeweler if a stone falls out?
