So, it is time for me to purchase the big e-ring. Here is what I have come up with so far and need peoples opinions. This is my first post, but I have read many others.

I am looking to get a Tacori setting and the one that fits the bill is the HT2258 (pictured). Instead of buying form a jeweler for a lot more, I found it here and am thinking about getting it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Tacori-Platinum-50-Carat-Diamond-E-Ring-Setting-3580_W0QQitemZ370075467381QQihZ024QQcategoryZ50678QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I contacted them and they siad it does not come with papers or anything but gaurantee it is Tacori and will give my money back if otherwise. So if I get it from here I am wondering if anyone knows Tacori''s policy if you do not have a receipt. i will need to get it resized from 6.5 to 7. Can I do that at any authorized tacori jeweler? I also need to get a diamond and have it set. Who needs to do that?

I am sure she will love it, but my only concern is if something happens to any of the diamonds, who is responsible and how would I get it fixed? Does Tacori stand behind their product? I have read some threads saying that a design in platinum with pave set may have diamonds come loose. Can I get it gauranteed by Tacori so that if anything happens they will cover it.

All thoughts are welcome. The more, the better. Thank you.

have you tried calling and asking them?

I can not find Tacori''s number anywhere. It seems like I would have to go through a jeweler. Are you saying I should call up my local authorized Tacori jeweler? I am thinking it may turn out negative since it is Robbins Bros.

I am guessing that the setting does not come with a warranty so any jeweler could re size the ring. I would definitely ask but most authorized "dealers" would rather have you buy from them and may tell you all sorts of things. The setting does indeed look to be an original. Have you tried Overstock for Tacori rings? At least there is a guaranteed return policy.

That''s the thing. Does tacori stand behind their product even though I do not have a receipt? I wouldn''t mind having to send it in if something happened as long as they fixed it. I guess I will just have to go somewhere and ask.

I just bought a Tacori set locally and the jeweler had to send both rings back to Tacori for resizing, or the warranty would be voided. I have the crescent bands (like in your photo), and they needed to go down from size 6.5 to 5. I would imagine that even if you did not have papers, since Tacoris are stamped on the inside of the band, that any authorized jeweler could send it to Tacori for you to have the work done. Are you near a Bailey Banks and Biddle? They are also authorized dealers. The dealer does not have to know that you bought the ring off of Ebay.

I already had a diamond that I purchased from GoodOldGold, so the local jeweler that I bought the rings from just set the diamond for me. Tacori does not need to set the diamond. I have heard that Tacori does stand behind their stuff. Hope that helps.
