Tacori Now or Later???

I am in LOVE with this beautiful Tacori setting and band (2565RD 6.5) and I want it NOW!!!! Here is the deal...

When my husband proposed, he had just finished Grad school and didn''t have a lot of money to make a huge investment on a ring. To make it simple, he got me a .97 carat round solitaire and 1/2 carat round prong set wedding (about $3500) with the promise of a diamond (stone) upgrade on our 5-year anniversary. Well, he eventually got a professional position so we focused on our wedding.

Well, we have been married almost 7 months now. At first I thought I would want to stay with a solitaire, but now I am totally sold on the Tacori setting.

Here''s my question. Should I get the Tacori setting now with my substandard diamond (D color, I2, Good Polish/Good Symmetry) or wait to get everything at once??? Do you think my current diamond would look good in a Tacori setting???

I would say wait. Do everything together, else the better stone might not fit the tacori or some problems incurred with the sitting of the new stone into a used setting.

I would wait till you get your diamond upgrade, unless you are going to get a different stone in the same size range. Tacori rings are a bit pricey, and

although you could get a gemstone to replace your diamond, if you really love the setting you might be sorry you didn''t wait. That is what I would do.
