Hi there! Apologies if this is the wrong forum...it seemed like the best place to post this question.

Anyway, I have a 1.31 ct RB diamond that I''m interested in placing in a Tacori ht2510 setting...does anyone know how this will look? All of the setting pictures show HUGE diamonds, and I''m afraid that the setting will overwhelm the smaller (7.1mm diameter) diamond. Here''s the setting:

Do you think a smaller diamond will do okay? Does anyone have any photos of this ring or similar with a smaller diamond?

Thanks!

hey there! congrats on picking out a tacori that you love! I dont have this setting but I did order my tacori a month ago. Have you stopped by your local tacori retailer? They have a book there that shows all the tacori settings available.

I thought I wouldn''t be able to afford my ring and thought that my center stone was going to be too small also (mine is 1.50ct). But when I visited my jeweler, they showed me that there are "petite" versions of the ring that would accomodate a stone that size. The standard version on the site was 1.35ctw and was made for a 1.75ct-2ct center stone. Which is why I thought it would be too much for a 1.5. THe petite version has .92ctw. The petite actually could not accomodate a 1.5ct center either. The petite was 1ct-1.25ct and then the standard like I said was 1.75-2ct.They are making my ring from scratch with the "petite" version as their "inspiration" which would mean I would get .95 ctw ring (the .03cts to accomdate the extra cts around the center stone)

But, you should check out your jeweler''s book and see what they can do.

Tacori also wants you to be happy and so they are actually willing to accomodate alsmot any request.

Sorrym this is getting long.

Your ring is going to be beautiful, and I really do recommend doing the "deposit" of 25 dollars and talking to a tacori concierge. They can answer all your questions and they will tell you what will look beautiful with your size center stone. Hope you get to talk to Michelle! she is great!

Most Tacoris I see on PS and in real life are not set with huge rocks... I would say the average Tacori that I see tends to have a 1 carat stone, so your 1.3 would look just lovely!

I know this isn''t the setting you''re looking at, but here is MsKG''s lovely Tacori ring with a 1.04 carat diamond center:

There are quite a few tacori''s on this site, you can search up at the top and see if you can find something similar. Anyway, I love the proportion of the Tacori settings which is what drew me to them in the first place. Based on the size of your stone, the dealer that you work with should be able to help you invision and pick out the right size setting for your stone.

Needless to say, I think the setting that you picked would look just fine for the size stone that you have.

That''s a beautiful setting! As far as I know, Tacori will customize almost any setting to fit any size stone. My stone is 1.24 cts. and Tacori customized my setting to fit the exact stone proportions. It takes 4-6 weeks, but you''ll be thrilled with the results! Talk to you local Tacori dealer and they''ll walk you through everything.

Each Tacori design comes in different proportions that are scaled to fit different size stones. Usually, Petite, Small, Medium and Large.

Beautiful ring. I am sure your diamond would look lovely in it.

I don''t consider 7.1 mm smaller

and I bet it will look amazing in its new setting! Can''t wait to see hand shots!

Your stone will be fine in a Tacori. Don''t worry.
