Hi, I'm a long time lurker of PS and I'm seeking some help from you expert ladies :loopy:

My 14 karat white gold Tacori halo e-ring has diamond pave and milgrain about 3/4 around the shank. The matching Tacori wedding band is $3k and I think that's too pricey! What metal would you recommend for my wedding band to not damage it or my e-ring?

And is it safe to:

-get a spacer ring (platinum???) with a shared prong 14 kt rose gold wedding band?

-get a really pretty cheapy Stainless steel wedding band for when I feel like mixing it up?

My e-ring: http://www.tacori.com/2502rdp75

HI!

Because of the detail on the side of your ring IF you want to wear wedding band with it I would get a spacer I would get the same metal for the spacer and then you can do any metal for your wedding band. I love mixing metals so some thing in rose gold would be lovely.

Good Luck

I agree that you need a spacer, but I would probably want the matching platinum wedding band with that particular ring. But you can try different styles on with it to see what works best.

Thanks for the suggestion. We may just end up getting a 14 kt spacer and the matching band.

Absolutely DO NOT get a stainless steel band to wear near any other metals. I made this mistake with a stainless steel band that I wore next to my 18k white gold engagement ring, and it scratched up the 18k pretty badly, plus 'ate' into the prongs a bit. I sent it back to Whiteflash and they fixed it, thankfully I think it only took polishing it a bit, but it only took a few weeks to do the damage.

Tacori does not work in 14k, only 18k. Even by custom. Are you sure the ring is not 18k? Why do you feel that you need a spacer? The matching Tacori band does not require a spacer. A non branded band shouldn't be any different, right?

I thought it was 14k. And I thought I'd need a spacer because the diamonds would scratch against the wedding band. I don't want to get them soldered.
