Hi everyone!
My fiance and I just started looking for a ring. And I have tons of questions!
I fell in love with a Tacori setting style # 2573PR7
Heres a link: http://www.tacori.com/TACORI-SRCH/ENGAGEMENT/2573PR7-A-4-1-5-/
I was sized at a 3!
I have long and skinny fingers and this dainty looking rings suits me well.
I want to put a 1.0-1.25 ct cushion cut center stone.
Has anyone had problems getting a cushion cut stone into a Tacori setting?
Is there an extra charge?
I went to my local jeweler and they have the Tacori setting listed retail at $2450 anyone know where I can possibly find this same setting somewhere cheaper?
Also when it comes to choosing the center stone, is it better to buy through a jeweler or look online for loose diamonds?
Our local jeweler quoted a cushion cut stone
1.0 ct
S1
I
cut is very good/excellent i forgot
dimensions were not as "square" as i would like it was around 5.5x6.0 ratio?? looked more rectangular
Price was $6400 but he said if we paid cash he''d give it to us for $4400
He was willing to knock off $2000 for just paying cash. He mentioned that online pricing is the best but in the end am I getting a better deal because of his discount or will I find a better quality diamond online for the same price?
Also...
Is it bad for the diamond''s girdle to be "medium to thick" "thin to thick" I know medium is ideal, I just want to know how this affects the diamond.
One more...
What is the ideal table and depth for a cushion cut, I asked my jeweler and he didn''t know.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I appreciate all your advice!!!
